Fans are talking about the much-awaited sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy “Stree.”
The highly anticipated Stree 2 teaser was recently unveiled by the filmmakers and is now available to everyone on social media.
The Stree 2 teaser was finally released a few days ago, after a lengthy wait. A large statue of the movie’s titular “stree,” who tormented Chanderi in the first installment, greets viewers as the teaser opens. The ghost of “Stree” has returned to haunt the village, as hinted at after the first movie. Shraddha Kapoor has returned, along with Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee. The teaser features Tamannaah Bhatia as well.
To battle the spirit of “stree,” the town will need to reunite, according to the teaser. We don’t know the plot of the movie yet, but it seems like Stree 2 will be more of the same.
The first Stree was one of the year’s biggest hits when it was released in 2018. The Amar Kaushik-directed movie was eventually referred to as the beginning of Maddock Films’ horror-comedy world. Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya are the only characters from the producers’ cinematic world that have made money at the box office thus far.
Amar Kaushik, who also directed the first movie, is the director of Stree 2. He is also renowned for helming the films Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan, and Bala, starring Ayushmann Khurrana.
When Stree debuted in 2018, its horror-comedy aesthetic startled everyone and went on to become a fixture in Hindi films. The movie became the biggest hit of Rao’s career at the time, grossing Rs 130 crore at the domestic box office. It is still his greatest hit even after six years.
