गुमला – गुमला सदर थाना अंतर्गत फोरी गांव निवासी सुरेंद्र उरांव की दर्दनाक मौत हो गई। गुरुवार को सुरेंद्र अपनी बहन के घर, जो घाघरा थाना क्षेत्र के टंगरा टोली गांव में स्थित है, गया हुआ था। शाम करीब 7:00 बजे वह अपने बहन के घर के बाहर टहल रहा था, तभी अचानक एक बिजली का तार टूटकर उसके ऊपर गिर गया। करंट लगने के कारण वह गंभीर रूप से घायल होकर बेहोश हो गया।
घटना के बाद, आनन-फानन में सुरेंद्र को इलाज के लिए तुरंत घाघरा उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही घाघरा थाना पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर त्वरित कार्रवाई की। पुलिस टीम ने घटनास्थल पर छानबीन शुरू की और शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए गुमला सदर अस्पताल भेजा। पोस्टमार्टम के पश्चात आज शव को परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया।
यह घटना क्षेत्र में शोक का माहौल पैदा कर गई है, जहां लोगों ने बिजली विभाग की लापरवाही को लेकर नाराजगी जाहिर की है। इस दुखद घटना ने सुरक्षा मानकों पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।
