Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Jharkhand today, where he first addressed a gathering in Chandankiyari, Bokaro, directing sharp criticism toward the Hemant Soren-led government and the Congress party. PM Modi highlighted the financial contrast between past Congress-led governments and his own, stating, “From 2004 to 2014, when Madam Sonia ji held influence, Manmohan Singh was appointed as Prime Minister.
During that time, only ₹80,000 crore was allocated to Jharkhand. In the last decade, however, our government has given over ₹3 lakh crore to Jharkhand.” He accused Congress of trying to divide the backward classes and urged unity among the people, underscoring that only through togetherness could they secure their future.
PM Modi claimed that Jharkhand currently shows strong support for the BJP and raised the slogan, “Roti-Beti-Mati ki Pukaar, BJP-NDA Sarkar”, expressing confidence in a BJP-led government for the state.
‘Strict Action Against Corruption’
The Prime Minister went on to assert that the BJP is committed to Jharkhand’s development, stressing that the party was instrumental in creating the state. He stated, “Those who opposed Jharkhand’s formation cannot bring progress to the state.” Taking aim at alleged corruption, he criticized the JMM leaders, accusing them of profiting immensely from sand smuggling while residents struggle to secure even basic resources.
“Bundles of cash are being uncovered, so much that the counting machines are wearing out. This money rightfully belongs to you, the people. It has been looted from your pockets,” he said. He promised that once the BJP forms the government, they will ensure that these corrupt individuals face the toughest punishment through court proceedings.
‘Crackdown on Paper Leak Mafia’
PM Modi also emphasized the BJP’s focus on addressing key issues facing Jharkhand’s people. He highlighted the benefits of the upcoming Ankur gas line, which he said will improve life for 11 districts. Additionally, he mentioned plans to install solar panels under the PM Surya Gram Yojana, which aims to reduce household electricity bills to zero without draining government funds. “The BJP government will give you ₹80,000 to set up solar panels,” he stated.
Regarding recent paper leaks, he assured attendees that the BJP would take stringent action, vowing to track down everyone involved in the “paper leak mafia” and bring them to justice.
‘Modi Lives to Serve You’
Addressing the crowd, PM Modi shared anecdotes from his meetings with the public, where people suggested he should take a break after his achievements, particularly in delivering Ujjwala gas stoves to countless households. However, he responded with determination, saying, “Modi was not born to sit idle. I live to serve you and work for your benefit.”
In his address, PM Modi’s message to the people of Jharkhand was clear—BJP aims to bring transparency, eradicate corruption, and bring new developmental projects to improve lives across the state. With the election nearing, his words left a strong impact on the gathered crowd, highlighting the BJP’s vision for Jharkhand’s future.
