विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय की मेजबानी में पहली बार कोई पूर्वी क्षेत्रीय अंतर विश्वविद्यालय खेल प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इस आशय की जानकारी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर (डॉ) पवन कुमार पोद्दार ने दी। उन्होंने बताया कि यह आयोजन 6 से 8 फरवरी 2025 को होना है। उन्होंने कहा की लगभग 35 से 40 विश्वविद्यालय की महिला दलों के इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने की संभावना है। इनके बीच पहले नॉकआउट और बाद में लीग पद्धति से विश्वविद्यालय के मुख्यालय में प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
ज्ञातो की इससे पूर्व मे विश्वविद्यालय ने पूर्वी क्षेत्र अंतर विश्वविद्यालय युवा महोत्सव का आयोजन किया था। लगभग 4 वर्षों के बाद यह पहला अवसर होगा जब किसी खेल प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया विश्वविद्यालय के मुख्यालय परिसर में किया जाएगा।
इस संबंध में विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर (डॉ) पवन कुमार पोद्दार की अध्यक्षता में एक कोर आयोजन समिति का गठन किया गया। उक्त समिति में विश्वविद्यालय के वित्त सलाहकार श्री अखिलेश शर्मा, छात्र कल्याण संकायअध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर (डॉ) मिथिलेश कुमार सिंह, सीसीडीसी किशोर कुमार गुप्ता, विज्ञान के संकायअध्यक्ष डॉ एच एन सिनहा, कुलसचिव डॉ सादिक रज्जाक, इतिहास के विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ विकास कुमार, राजनीति विज्ञान के विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ सुकल्याण मोइत्रा, कॉमर्स के डॉ मोहम्मद मोख्तार आलम, आदर्श कॉलेज, राजधनवार के प्राचार्य प्रोफेसर (डॉ) विमल कुमार मिश्रा, आर के महिला महाविद्यालय, गिरिडीह के प्राचार्य डॉ मधुश्री सेन सान्याल, रसायन विज्ञान विभाग के शिक्षक डॉ प्रणिता, विभावि के राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना के समन्वयक डॉ जॉनी रुफिना तिर्की, वनस्पति विज्ञान विभाग के अध्यक्ष डॉ अविनाश कुमार, अंग्रेजी विभाग के डॉ गंगानन्द सिंह, हजारीबाग के सदर अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी, खो-खो के राष्ट्रीय अंपायर श्री शुभम कुमार तथा खेल निदेशक डॉ राखो हरि को आयोजन सचिव के रूप में शामिल किया गया है।
बृहस्पतिवार को इस समिति की पहली बैठक कुलपति के आवास में आयोजित की गई। प्रस्ताव लिया गया कि अलग-अलग किस्म के कार्यों के लिए और भी समितियां बनाई जाएगी। विश्वविद्यालय के नियम के तहत ही सारे खर्च किए जाएंगे। यह भी सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा की बाहर से आने वाले खिलाड़ी एवं खेल अधिकारियों को किसी प्रकार की कोई असुविधा न हो। सभी समितियां के अध्यक्ष और संयोजक की बैठक 24 दिसंबर को की जाएगी।
