विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय हजारीबाग के कुलपति प्रोफेसर पवन कुमार पोद्दार ने आज इतिहास विभाग के अध्यक्ष डॉ विकास कुमार को विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र कल्याण संकायअध्यक्ष (DSW) के पद पर नियुक्त किया है। यह नियुक्ति राजभवन सचिवालय, रांची से प्राप्त पत्र के आधार पर किया गया है।
ज्ञात हो की लंबे समय से छात्र कल्याण संकायअध्यक्ष पद पर नियमित नियुक्ति नहीं हो पाई थी। विश्वविद्यालय के कुलानुशासक प्रो मिथिलेश कुमार सिंह को छात्र कल्याण संकायअध्यक्ष का अतिरिक्त दायित्व दिया गया था।
डॉ विकास कुमार के डीएसडब्ल्यू बनाए जाने पर सबसे पहले विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति ने उन्हें पुष्प स्तबक भेट कर उन्हें शुभकामनाएं दी। तत्पश्चात प्रो मिथिलेश कुमार सिंह ने डॉ विकास कुमार का स्वागत करके उन्हें डीएसडब्ल्यू की कुर्सी पर बैठाया। देखते ही देखते उन्हें बधाई देने वालों की भीड़ जम गई। विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारी, शिक्षक, कर्मचारी, पूर्ववर्ती छात्र डॉ विकास कुमार को बधाई देते रहे।
डॉ विकास कुमार के छात्र कल्याण संकाय अध्यक्ष बनने से अब उम्मीद जगी है कि दो वर्षों से बंद विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में अवस्थित सरोजिनी छात्रावास फिर से चालू की जाएगी। वेलफेयर विभाग द्वारा निर्मित 100 बिस्तर वाले वर्षों से बंद पड़े छात्रावास भी संचालित होगी। इससे महिला शिक्षा संबंधी विश्वविद्यालय के कार्य को गति मिलेगी । विश्वविद्यालय के लचर कैंटीन को भी दुरुस्त करने की संभावना अब दिखने लगी हैं। उनके छात्र कल्याण संकायअध्यक्ष बनने पर खेलकूद की गतिविधियां व्यवस्थित रूप से संचालित होने की भी उम्मीद जगी है।
इसके अलावा पीएच. डी. हेतु कोर्स वर्क तथा इलेक्टिव पाठ्यक्रमों के नियमित संचालन से संबंधित बाधाएं भी अब दूर हो सकते हैं।
