गुमला में हाथी का कहर: किसान का घर तोड़ा, अनाज व फसलें बर्बाद

गुमला: जिले के अल्बर्ट एक्का-जारी प्रखंड के कोड़ी गांव में एक आक्रोशित हाथी ने किसान आनंद साय के घर को तहस-नहस कर दिया। हाथी ने न केवल मकान को ध्वस्त किया, बल्कि घर में रखे दो बोरा चावल और एक क्विंटल शकरकंद को खाकर बर्बाद कर दिया। इसके अलावा, खेत में लगी कद्दू और प्याज की फसल भी हाथी के हमले से नष्ट हो गई।

जिप सदस्य और वन विभाग ने किया निरीक्षण

घटना की सूचना मिलने पर जिला परिषद सदस्य दिलीप बड़ाइक और वन विभाग की टीम ने गांव का दौरा किया और हालात का जायजा लिया। उन्होंने अपनी आंखों से देखा कि आनंद साय का घर पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो चुका है और अनाज व फसलें बर्बाद हो गई हैं।

जिप सदस्य ने किसान को हाथी भगाने के लिए बम-पटाखे उपलब्ध कराए और ग्रामीणों को सतर्क रहने की सलाह दी। वन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने किसान को मुआवजा दिलाने का आश्वासन दिया और हाथी को जंगल की ओर भगाने के लिए आवश्यक कदम उठाने की बात कही।

ग्रामीणों में दहशत, वन विभाग से मदद की मांग

गांव में इस घटना के बाद से ग्रामीणों में डर का माहौल है। वे चाहते हैं कि वन विभाग हाथियों को नियंत्रित करने के लिए ठोस उपाय करे ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाएं न हों।

वन विभाग की ओर से कहा गया है कि क्षति का आकलन कर जल्द ही प्रभावित किसान को मुआवजा प्रदान किया जाएगा।
