गुमला, 7 मई 2025 — गुमला जिले में सिकल सेल एनीमिया की रोकथाम और समय पर पहचान के लिए चलाए जा रहे व्यापक स्वास्थ्य अभियान के अंतर्गत अब तक 7,07,392 लोगों की जांच की जा चुकी है। जिला स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अनुसार यह संख्या निर्धारित लक्ष्य 8,51,054 के करीब पहुंच चुकी है।
सात मई 2025 तक प्राप्त आंकड़ों के मुताबिक:
- 370 व्यक्तियों में सिकल सेल रोग की पुष्टि हुई है।
- 1,752 लोग वाहक (ट्रेट) के रूप में चिह्नित किए गए हैं।
- वहीं, 1,719 मामलों में जांच परिणाम अपुष्ट रहे हैं, जिन्हें आगे की जांच की आवश्यकता है।
स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने जिले के नागरिकों से अपील की है कि जिनकी अब तक जांच नहीं हुई है, वे निकटतम स्वास्थ्य केंद्र पर जाकर यह नि:शुल्क परीक्षण अवश्य करवाएं। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इस जांच से गंभीर स्वास्थ्य जटिलताओं को समय रहते रोका जा सकता है।
सिकल सेल एनीमिया एक आनुवांशिक रक्त विकार है जो समय पर पहचान और इलाज के अभाव में घातक साबित हो सकता है। यह अभियान राज्य सरकार के निर्देशानुसार ग्रामीण और आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में खासतौर पर जागरूकता और उपचार की पहुंच सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से चलाया जा रहा है।
जिला स्वास्थ्य पदाधिकारियों का कहना है कि लक्ष्य के शेष लोगों की जांच अगले कुछ सप्ताह में पूरी कर ली जाएगी और अपुष्ट मामलों की दोबारा जांच की जाएगी ताकि कोई भी मरीज पहचान से वंचित न रहे।
