विश्व थैलेसीमिया दिवस पर उपायुक्त गुमला कर्ण सत्यार्थी ने किया रक्तदान, थैलेसीमिया पीड़ित बच्चों से की मुलाकात

गुमला : – विश्व थैलेसीमिया दिवस के अवसर पर आज वृहस्पतिवार को गुमला सदर अस्पताल परिसर में रक्तदान शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त गुमला कर्ण सत्यार्थी ने स्वयं रक्तदान कर शिविर का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया।

उक्त अवसर पर उपायुक्त ने जिलेवासियों से अपील की कि वे अधिक से अधिक संख्या में आगे आकर स्वेच्छा से रक्तदान करें। उन्होंने कहा कि “आपका एक यूनिट रक्त किसी ज़रूरतमंद को नया जीवन दे सकता है। विशेषकर थैलेसीमिया जैसे गंभीर रोग से ग्रसित बच्चों के लिए समय पर रक्त उपलब्ध कराना अत्यंत आवश्यक होता है।”

उपायुक्त गुमला ने थैलेसीमिया रोग की जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि यह एक अनुवांशिक रक्त विकार है, जिससे पीड़ित अधिकांश बच्चे जीवन भर नियमित ब्लड ट्रांसफ्यूजन पर निर्भर रहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे बच्चों का जीवन बचाने के लिए समाज के प्रत्येक सक्षम व्यक्ति को रक्तदान जैसे पुण्य कार्य में भागीदार बनना चाहिए।

इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त गुमला कर्ण सत्यार्थी ने अस्पताल परिसर स्थित थैलेसीमिया सेंटर में उपचार के लिए आए बच्चों से आत्मीय मुलाकात की। उन्होंने बच्चों के बीच खिलौनों का वितरण किया और बच्चों के परिजनों से बातचीत कर उन्हें बच्चों की शिक्षा पर विशेष ध्यान देने हेतु प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने बच्चों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य एवं उत्तम स्वास्थ्य की कामना भी की।

स्वास्थ्य विभाग की ओर से आयोजित इस रक्तदान शिविर में सदर अस्पताल के डेम प्रमोद कुमार साहू सहित कई अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने भी भाग लिया और रक्तदान किया।
