बालू खनन में हादसा: मिट्टी धंसने से स्कूली छात्र गंभीर रूप से घायल, बाल श्रम पर उठे सवाल

गुमला, 15 मई — गुमला जिला के बांसटोली नदी में अवैध बालू खनन के दौरान एक दर्दनाक हादसे में संत तुलसीदास स्कूल के कक्षा 9वीं के छात्र अरविंद उरांव गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। बुधवार को काम के दौरान अचानक ऊपरी परत की मिट्टी और बालू धंसने से वह मलबे में दब गया। स्थानीय मजदूरों ने तत्काल बालू हटाकर उसकी जान तो बचा ली, लेकिन छात्र के चेहरे, सीने और शरीर पर गंभीर चोटें आई हैं। फिलहाल उसका इलाज गुमला सदर अस्पताल में चल रहा है।

आर्थिक तंगी ने झोंका खतरनाक मजदूरी में
मूल रूप से सिसई प्रखंड के निवासी अरविंद उरांव (पिता – अनिल उरांव) पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ परिवार की आर्थिक मदद के लिए मजदूरी करने पर मजबूर था। ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, बालू माफिया जानबूझकर कम पैसे में काम करवाने के लिए नाबालिग बच्चों को खनन कार्य में लगाते हैं। इससे न केवल उनकी पढ़ाई बाधित होती है, बल्कि उनकी जान भी खतरे में पड़ जाती है।

खुलेआम चल रहा अवैध खनन, पर प्रशासन मौन
स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस तरह के नज़ारे खुलेआम देखे जा सकते हैं, फिर भी खनन विभाग के अधिकारी मौन बने हुए हैं। कई ग्रामीणों ने आरोप लगाया कि विभाग की इस चुप्पी के पीछे कोई सांठगांठ हो सकती है, जो इस गैरकानूनी बाल श्रम और अवैध खनन को बढ़ावा दे रही है।

कानून की अनदेखी पर सवाल
भारत में बाल श्रम पर सख्त कानूनी प्रतिबंध हैं, फिर भी बालू खनन जैसे खतरनाक कामों में नाबालिगों का इस्तेमाल प्रशासन की निगरानी व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े करता है।

मांग उठी—जांच हो और दोषियों पर कार्रवाई हो
घटना के बाद स्थानीय लोगों ने प्रशासन से मांग की है कि इस पूरे मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच हो और दोषी बालू माफिया व जिम्मेदार अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाए। साथ ही यह भी सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि भविष्य में किसी बच्चे की जान इस तरह के अवैध काम में न झोंकी जाए।
