गुमला, 7 जून – गुमला जिले के कोटाम गांव में शनिवार को एक युवक ने नशे की हालत में रिलायंस टावर पर चढ़कर जमीन विवाद को लेकर जमकर हंगामा किया। शोले फिल्म के ‘वीरू’ की तर्ज पर 25 वर्षीय रितेश सिंह उर्फ बाबू करीब चार घंटे तक 130 फीट ऊंची टावर पर खड़ा होकर चिल्लाता रहा, “कूद जाऊंगा, फांद जाऊंगा”, जिससे गांव में अफरा-तफरी मच गई।
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, युवक अपने पिता और भाई से जमीन के बंटवारे की मांग कर रहा था और मंच की तरह टावर को इस्तेमाल करते हुए लगातार गाली-गलौज और धमकियां देता रहा। उसकी यह हरकत देख दर्जनों ग्रामीण वहां इकट्ठा हो गए और कई लोग वीडियो बनाकर सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल करने में जुट गए। हर बार जब वह बिना सहारे दोनों हाथ ऊपर उठाकर टावर के किनारे खड़ा होता, लोगों की सांसें थम जातीं।
स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने पहले उसे मनाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन वह और उग्र होता गया। जब स्थिति गंभीर होती गई, तो कोटाम पिकेट पुलिस को सूचना दी गई। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और युवक को नीचे उतारने के लिए घंटों मशक्कत करती रही।
कोटाम पिकेट की टीम ने रितेश को समझाने-बुझाने की पूरी कोशिश की, लेकिन नशे की हालत में वह किसी की बात सुनने को तैयार नहीं था। करीब तीन-चार घंटे बाद तेज गर्मी के कारण भी युवक की हालत बिगड़ती दिखने लगी। पुलिस अधिकारियों को अंदेशा था कि वह कहीं सचमुच टावर से छलांग न लगा दे, इसलिए उन्होंने स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए उच्चाधिकारियों को सूचित किया और वैकल्पिक उपाय तलाशने लगे।
हालांकि खबर लिखे जाने तक युवक को सुरक्षित नीचे उतारने की प्रक्रिया जारी थी। यह घटना एक ओर जहां ग्रामीणों के लिए सनसनीखेज दृश्य बन गई, वहीं दूसरी ओर यह प्रशासन और समाज के लिए सोचने का विषय भी है कि व्यक्तिगत विवाद इस हद तक सार्वजनिक और खतरनाक रूप ले सकते हैं।
