गुमला – गुमला जिला में नशा मुक्ति को लेकर चलाए जा रहे सामाजिक जागरूकता अभियान को विद्यालयों का भरपूर सहयोग मिल रहा है। उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देशानुसार शिक्षा विभाग के अंतर्गत संचालित विद्यालयों में नशे के दुष्परिणामों से बच्चों को अवगत कराने हेतु विभिन्न रचनात्मक एवं सहभागी गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की जा रही हैं।
विद्यालयों में नियमित रूप से नशा विरोधी परिचर्चा, व्याख्यान, पोस्टर व निबंध प्रतियोगिता, चित्रांकन, प्रभात फेरी एवं जनजागरूकता रैली का आयोजन कर छात्रों को नशे से दूर रहने और समाज में इसके खिलाफ सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने हेतु प्रेरित किया जा रहा है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि कक्षा 9 से 12 तक के विद्यालयों में प्रहरी क्लब का गठन किया गया है, जिसमें शिक्षकों के साथ-साथ छात्रों को भी शामिल किया गया है ताकि बच्चे किसी भी प्रकार की समस्या निःसंकोच साझा कर सकें और उचित मार्गदर्शन पा सकें। इन क्लबों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को आत्मबल देने एवं नेतृत्व की भावना विकसित करने का भी प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
विद्यालयों द्वारा स्थानीय समुदाय एवं अभिभावकों से भी समन्वय स्थापित कर बच्चों की गतिविधियों पर विशेष ध्यान रखने का आग्रह किया जा रहा है। शिक्षक-शिक्षिकाएं इस अभियान में न केवल मार्गदर्शक की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं बल्कि स्वयं भी सक्रिय भागीदारी कर रहे हैं।
