गुमला – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत स्थित बसियाअनुमंडल पदाधिकारी के नेतृत्व में अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी एवं खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी के द्वारा बसिया क्षेत्र में मादक पदार्थों और तंबाकू उत्पादों के विरुद्ध एक सघन जांच अभियान चलाया गया। इस दौरान विभिन्न दुकानों एवं प्रतिष्ठानों में छापेमारी की गई, जहाँ तंबाकू युक्त उत्पादों की बिक्री होते हुए पाई गई।
मौके पर संबंधित दुकानदारों के विरुद्ध कोटपा एक्ट (COTPA) के तहत अर्थदंड लगाया गया एवं जब्त किए गए तंबाकू उत्पादों को बसिया थाना में विधिवत रूप से नष्ट किया गया। इस पूरी कार्रवाई में स्थानीय पुलिस बल भी सक्रिय रूप से उपस्थित रहा।
अभियान के दौरान विशेष रूप से **विद्यालय परिसरों के 100 मीटर के दायरे** में आने वाले सभी प्रतिष्ठानों की कड़ी जांच की गई। जहां तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री पाई गई, वहां से सामग्री को तत्काल जब्त कर आवश्यक विधि प्रक्रिया के तहत नष्ट कर दिया गया।
इस कार्रवाई का उद्देश्य बच्चों और युवाओं को नशे की लत से बचाना और तंबाकू जैसे खतरनाक उत्पादों की बिक्री पर सख्त रोक लगाना है। प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया है कि इस प्रकार के अभियान आगे भी लगातार चलाए जाएंगे और नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वालों के विरुद्ध कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
