अवैध अफीम खेती के विरुद्ध जागरूकता: गुमला में किसानों को बांटे गए फलदार पौधे

गुमला, झारखंड — मादक पदार्थों के खिलाफ झारखंड में चल रहे राज्यव्यापी जागरूकता अभियान (10 से 26 जून 2025) के अंतर्गत गुमला जिला प्रशासन ने एक सकारात्मक पहल करते हुए शुक्रवार को किसानों के बीच फलदार पौधों का वितरण किया। यह आयोजन समाहरणालय परिसर में किया गया, जहां अपर समाहर्ता शशिंद्र बड़ाईक ने किसानों को नशा छोड़कर टिकाऊ खेती की ओर अग्रसर होने का संदेश दिया।

अफीम की जगह अब फलों की खेती

गुमला जिले के बसिया, चैनपुर और भरनो प्रखंड के कुछ क्षेत्रों में पहले अवैध रूप से अफीम (पोस्ता) की खेती की जा रही थी। स्थानीय प्रशासन और पुलिस के संयुक्त प्रयास से इन फसलों को नष्ट कर दिया गया। इसके बाद खेतों को बंजर होने से बचाने और किसानों को स्वच्छ व वैकल्पिक आजीविका की ओर प्रेरित करने के लिए यह कदम उठाया गया।

गुमला पुलिस अधीक्षक हारिश बिन जामां ने इस कार्य को नशामुक्ति अभियान की दिशा में कारगर बताया और कहा कि युवाओं को नशे की गिरफ़्त से बचाने के लिए अफीम जैसी खेती पर रोक आवश्यक थी।

किसानों को किया गया जागरूक

कार्यक्रम के दौरान अपर समाहर्ता शशिंद्र बड़ाईक ने किसानों से संवाद करते हुए कहा,

“पोस्ता की खेती से दीर्घकालिक लाभ नहीं होता, बल्कि यह समाज और खुद किसान के लिए नुकसानदायक साबित होती है। फलदार पौधों के माध्यम से किसान न केवल आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बन सकते हैं, बल्कि पर्यावरण और समाज के हित में भी योगदान दे सकते हैं।”

उन्होंने किसानों से अपील की कि वे खुद भी इस तरह की हानिकारक खेती से दूर रहें और अपने गांव-समाज में अन्य किसानों को भी जागरूक करें।

उपस्थित रहे प्रशासनिक अधिकारी

इस कार्यक्रम में सामान्य शाखा के प्रभारी पदाधिकारी समेत अन्य प्रशासनिक कर्मी भी उपस्थित रहे। पौधा वितरण के इस आयोजन को किसानों ने सराहते हुए प्रशासन का आभार व्यक्त किया।

इस पहल से यह स्पष्ट होता है कि गुमला जिला प्रशासन नशे के विरुद्ध सिर्फ कानूनी कार्रवाई तक सीमित न रहते हुए, जमीनी स्तर पर विकल्प और समाधान भी उपलब्ध करा रहा है — एक नशामुक्त, जागरूक और आत्मनिर्भर समाज की दिशा में ठोस कदम।
