गुमला, 24 जुलाई: गुमला उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित एवं पुलिस अधीक्षक हरीश बिन ज़मान के निर्देश पर जिले में सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर एक विशेष जागरूकता एवं वाहन चेकिंग अभियान का आयोजन मंगलवार को डी.ए.वी. मोड़, चंदाली के समीप किया गया। अभियान के दौरान 120 बाइक चालकों को यातायात नियमों की जानकारी दी गई, जबकि दस्तावेज़ों में कमी पाए जाने पर कुल ₹1,11,000 का जुर्माना वसूला गया।
इस अभियान का नेतृत्व जिला परिवहन पदाधिकारी राकेश कुमार गोप, मोटरयान निरीक्षक रॉबिन अजय सिंह, और सड़क सुरक्षा प्रबंधक कुमार प्रभास ने किया। इन अधिकारियों की टीम ने चालकों को हेलमेट, सीट बेल्ट, और अन्य सुरक्षा उपायों के महत्व के बारे में समझाया तथा दुर्घटना से बचाव के व्यवहारिक उपाय बताए।
अभियान के दौरान Good Samaritan योजना के बारे में भी लोगों को जागरूक किया गया। इस योजना के तहत किसी सड़क दुर्घटना में घायल व्यक्ति को गोल्डन ऑवर (पहले एक घंटे) में अस्पताल पहुंचाने वाले मददगार को ₹2,000 नकद और प्रशस्ति पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया जाता है। उपस्थित लोगों को बताया गया कि अस्पताल में पीड़ित को पहुंचाने वाले व्यक्ति का नाम चिकित्सकीय रिकॉर्ड में दर्ज कराना जरूरी है ताकि उसे योजना का लाभ दिया जा सके।
हिट एंड रन मामलों पर भी जानकारी दी गई, जिसमें किसी अज्ञात वाहन से हुई दुर्घटना में मृत्यु की स्थिति में ₹2,00,000 और गंभीर रूप से घायल होने पर ₹50,000 मुआवजे का प्रावधान है।
इस जागरूकता अभियान में सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विशेषज्ञ मंटू रवानी, रोड इंजीनियरिंग एनालिस्ट प्रणय कांशी, डीटीओ ऑफिस के प्रिंस कुमार, और स्थानीय पुलिस बल की सक्रिय भागीदारी रही। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य नागरिकों को न केवल नियमों की जानकारी देना था, बल्कि उन्हें सड़क पर खुद की और दूसरों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रेरित करना भी था।
