गुमला पुलिस की बड़ी कामयाबी: 15 लाख के इनामी नक्सली कमांडर मार्टिन केरकेट्टा मुठभेड़ में ढेर

गुमला जिले के कामडारा थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत चंगाबारी-बनटोली इलाके में मंगलवार की दोपहर एक बड़ी मुठभेड़ में पुलिस ने पीपुल्स लिबरेशन फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया (PLFI) के रिजनल कमांडर और 15 लाख रुपये के इनामी नक्सली मार्टिन केरकेट्टा को मार गिराया। यह कार्रवाई गुमला पुलिस अधीक्षक हरिश बिन जामां के नेतृत्व में गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर अंजाम दी गई।

गुप्त सूचना के बाद चला छापामारी अभियान

पुलिस अधीक्षक को 5 अगस्त को सूचना मिली कि PLFI के उग्रवादी किसी बड़ी वारदात को अंजाम देने के इरादे से कामडारा थाना क्षेत्र के जंगलों में डेरा डाले हुए हैं। तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए एक संयुक्त छापामारी दल का गठन किया गया, जिसकी अगुवाई अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी नाजिर अख्तर ने की। इस टीम में कामडारा SAT, QRT टीम और गुमला जिला बल शामिल थे।

मुठभेड़ में मारा गया PLFI कमांडर

पुलिस बल ने इलाके की घेराबंदी करते हुए जब उग्रवादियों को पकड़ने की कोशिश की, तब दोनों पक्षों के बीच मुठभेड़ शुरू हो गई। आत्मरक्षा में पुलिस द्वारा की गई जवाबी कार्रवाई में PLFI का शीर्ष नेता मार्टिन केरकेट्टा मारा गया। घटनास्थल से एक 5.76 मिमी पिस्टल और गोलियां बरामद की गईं।

मारे गए नक्सली का लंबा आपराधिक इतिहास

मार्टिन केरकेट्टा झारखंड के सबसे कुख्यात नक्सलियों में शुमार था। उस पर हत्या, अपहरण, लूट और आर्म्स एक्ट के अंतर्गत गुमला, चाईबासा, रांची, हजारीबाग, खूंटी समेत विभिन्न जिलों में कुल 50 से अधिक आपराधिक मामले दर्ज थे। वह PLFI संगठन का सक्रिय सदस्य और रणनीतिक योजनाकार था।

कार्रवाई में शामिल अधिकारी

छापामारी दल में शामिल प्रमुख पुलिस पदाधिकारी:

• नाजिर अख्तर (अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी, बसिया)
• शशि प्रकाश (थाना प्रभारी, कामडारा)
• युधिष्ठिर प्रजापति (थाना प्रभारी, बसिया)
• तरुण कुमार (थाना प्रभारी, पालकोट)
• नीरज कुमार, विश्वजीत चेतन, कृष्ण कुमार समेत अन्य

साथ ही, SAT और QRT की विशेष टीम भी इस अभियान में शामिल थी।

पुलिस अधीक्षक ने जताई संतुष्टि

एसपी हरिश बिन जामां ने इस सफलता को पुलिस टीम की मेहनत और मजबूत खुफिया नेटवर्क का परिणाम बताया। उन्होंने कहा, “हमारा उद्देश्य क्षेत्र में शांति और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना है। इस कार्रवाई से नक्सली नेटवर्क को बड़ा झटका लगा है।”

क्षेत्र में बढ़ा विश्वास, माओवादियों में मचा हड़कंप

इस अभियान से गुमला जिले के ग्रामीण इलाकों में पुलिस पर भरोसा और सुरक्षा की भावना मजबूत हुई है। वहीं दूसरी ओर PLFI समेत अन्य उग्रवादी संगठनों में हड़कंप मचा है। स्थानीय लोगों ने भी पुलिस की तत्परता की सराहना की है।
