गुमला सदर अस्पताल में क्षमता से अधिक मरीज, ‘गुमला सदर अस्पताल-2’ की मांग तेज

गुमला जिला मुख्यालय का सौ शैय्या वाला सदर अस्पताल इन दिनों मरीजों से खचाखच भरा हुआ है। हालत यह है कि बेड, स्ट्रेचर और कुर्सियां भर जाने के बाद मरीजों को ज़मीन पर लिटाकर इलाज किया जा रहा है। बढ़ती भीड़ और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं पर दबाव के कारण अब जिले में ‘गुमला सदर अस्पताल-2’ बनाने की मांग जोर पकड़ने लगी है।

बढ़ते भरोसे से बढ़ी भीड़

गुमला उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित द्वारा अस्पताल में सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने, साफ-सफाई सुनिश्चित करने, रसोई और भोजन व्यवस्था की निगरानी, सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाने और समय-समय पर औचक निरीक्षण के चलते लोगों का अस्पताल पर भरोसा बढ़ा है।
इस भरोसे का असर यह हुआ कि छत्तीसगढ़, उड़ीसा, सिमडेगा और गुमला के सुदूरवर्ती ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से बड़ी संख्या में मरीज यहां इलाज के लिए आने लगे हैं। अल्ट्रासाउंड, एक्स-रे, ब्लड ट्रांसफ्यूजन और अन्य इलाज के लिए अब यहां रोजाना सैकड़ों रोगियों की भीड़ जुटती है।

डॉक्टरों की कमी, सुविधाओं पर असर

हालांकि सेवाएं बेहतर होने के बावजूद अस्पताल में डॉक्टरों की कमी गंभीर चुनौती बनी हुई है। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, कुछ नव-नियुक्त डॉक्टर लंबे समय से ड्यूटी से नदारद हैं, जिससे कार्यभार बाकी चिकित्सकों पर बढ़ गया है।

अस्पताल-2 की योजना पर विचार

बढ़ते दबाव को देखते हुए उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित ‘गुमला सदर अस्पताल-2’ की स्थापना के लिए प्रयासरत हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि इसके लिए पुराना गुमला समाहरणालय भवन, जिसे अब अनुपयोगी घोषित किया जा चुका है, संभावित स्थान के रूप में चिन्हित किया गया है।
प्रस्तावित नए अस्पताल को सभी आधुनिक संसाधनों से लैस करने की योजना है, ताकि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं और गंभीर बीमारियों के मामलों में मरीजों को रांची RIMS रेफर करने की आवश्यकता न पड़े।

बदनामी से सुधार तक

कुछ समय पहले तक निजी अस्पतालों में मरीज भेजने और अन्य अनियमितताओं के आरोपों से बदनाम हो चुके गुमला सदर अस्पताल ने अब प्रशासनिक सख्ती और सतत निरीक्षण से अपनी छवि में सुधार किया है।
फिर भी, मौजूदा स्थिति स्पष्ट करती है कि मौजूदा ढांचा जिले की स्वास्थ्य जरूरतों को पूरा करने में सक्षम नहीं है, और दूसरा सदर अस्पताल इस दिशा में अहम कदम साबित हो सकता है।
