गुमला, 30 अगस्त।
राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के अवसर पर गुमला में जिला प्रशासन और पीरामल फाउंडेशन के सहयोग से तीन दिवसीय खेल महोत्सव की शुरुआत हुई। कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन शपथ ग्रहण के साथ हुआ, जहाँ खिलाड़ियों ने निष्पक्ष खेल, अनुशासन और खेल भावना बनाए रखने का संकल्प लिया।
प्रतियोगिताएँ और सम्मान
समारोह के पहले दिन अंडर-16 बालक एवं बालिका बैडमिंटन सहित कई पारंपरिक खेलों का आयोजन हुआ। विजयी खिलाड़ियों को जिला खेल पदाधिकारी द्वारा मोमेंटो और ट्रैकसूट देकर सम्मानित किया गया। इस अवसर पर खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी भी विशेष अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे।

आगामी आयोजन
खेल महोत्सव के तहत 31 अगस्त 2025 को सुबह 7 बजे से साइकिल रैली और सामूहिक फिटनेस गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की जाएंगी। जिला प्रशासन ने आमजन से इसमें बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लेने की अपील की है, ताकि खेल और स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूकता को व्यापक स्तर पर फैलाया जा सके।
खेल दिवस का महत्व
जिला प्रशासन के अनुसार, यह तीन दिवसीय समारोह युवाओं को खेलों के प्रति जागरूक करने और उन्हें राष्ट्रीय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रेरित करने का एक सार्थक प्रयास है।
