मुजफ्फरपुर को मिला उत्तर बिहार का सबसे बड़ा रेडियोथेरेपी सेंटर, अल्केम फाउंडेशन ने किया 100 करोड़ का निवेश

मुजफ्फरपुर, सितम्बर 2025।
बिहार में कैंसर उपचार की दिशा में बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए अल्केम फाउंडेशन ने मुजफ्फरपुर में सम्प्रदा सिंह मेमोरियल रेडियोथेरेपी सेंटर की स्थापना की है। इस परियोजना में फाउंडेशन ने 100 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया है। यह सुविधा उत्तर बिहार की सबसे बड़ी और पूरे राज्य की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी रेडियोथेरेपी यूनिट है।

प्रधानमंत्री ने किया था अस्पताल का उद्घाटन

यह अत्याधुनिक रेडियोथेरेपी सेंटर होमी भाभा कैंसर हॉस्पिटल एंड रिसर्च सेंटर का हिस्सा है, जिसका हाल ही में उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने किया। इसे अल्केम के संस्थापक स्व. सम्प्रदा सिंह की स्मृति में स्थापित किया गया है।

टाटा मेमोरियल सेंटर के साथ साझेदारी

मुंबई स्थित टाटा मेमोरियल सेंटर (टीएमसी) के सहयोग से तैयार किए गए इस सेंटर में अत्याधुनिक कैंसर उपचार तकनीक उपलब्ध कराई गई है। यहाँ लिनियर एक्सेलेरेटर्स (LINAC), स्टीरियोटैक्सी, ऑर्गन मोशन मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम, सीटी सिम्युलेटर और इन-हाउस ब्रैकीथेरेपी जैसी सुविधाएँ मौजूद हैं। सालाना लगभग 3,500 से 4,000 मरीज यहाँ उपचार प्राप्त कर सकेंगे।

अल्केम की एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर और सीएसआर एवं सस्टेनेबिलिटी कमेटी की चेयरपर्सन मधुरिमा सिंह ने कहा,
“बिहार हमारी जड़ों से जुड़ा है, इसलिए यहाँ योगदान देना हमारे लिए बेहद मायने रखता है। कैंसर के मामले लगातार बढ़ रहे हैं और ऐसे में घर के पास विश्व-स्तरीय उपचार मिलना बेहद जरूरी है। यह सेंटर न केवल आधुनिक उपचार उपलब्ध कराएगा बल्कि मरीजों और उनके परिवारों के लिए भी सहारा बनेगा। टाटा मेमोरियल सेंटर के साथ सहयोग हमारी दीर्घकालिक स्वास्थ्य प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।”

“कमी को पूरा करेगा यह सेंटर” – टीएमसी निदेशक

होमी भाभा कैंसर हॉस्पिटल एंड रिसर्च सेंटर के निदेशक डॉ. कुमार प्रभाष ने कहा,
“अल्केम फाउंडेशन के साथ हमारा सहयोग स्क्रीनिंग और पैलिएटिव केयर में पहले से है। अब इस सेंटर से बिहार व आसपास के राज्यों को व्यापक और संवेदनशील कैंसर देखभाल उपलब्ध कराई जा सकेगी। हमारा उद्देश्य मरीजों को किफायती, साक्ष्य-आधारित उपचार देना है, साथ ही शिक्षा और अनुसंधान को भी बढ़ावा देना है।”

सामुदायिक स्तर पर भी प्रयास जारी

अल्केम फाउंडेशन बिहार में पहले से ही कैंसर स्क्रीनिंग और जागरूकता अभियान चला रहा है। इसके अलावा, टीएमसी के साथ मिलकर शुरू किया गया होम-बेस्ड पैलिएटिव केयर मॉडल भी इस पहल का हिस्सा है। संस्था का लक्ष्य है कि वंचित इलाकों में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की कमी को दूर किया जाए और राज्य के स्वास्थ्य ढांचे को मजबूत बनाया जाए।
