गुमला, 21 सितंबर 2025: रायडीह प्रखंड के रेंगोला कारी कोना गांव की यशोमती देवी आज भी 20 साल पहले अपने पति सहदु किसान पर दो जंगली भालुओं के हमले की दर्दनाक घटना को नहीं भूल पाईं। उस दिन सहदु की जान बचाने की हर कोशिश असफल रही और वे अस्पताल पहुँचने से पहले ही लहूलुहान होकर दम तोड़ दिए। लेकिन इस पीड़ा से भी अधिक वे इस बात से आहत हैं कि पोस्टमार्टम और थाना केस न बनने के कारण उन्हें आज तक पति के मुआवजे से वंचित रखा गया है।
घटना के बाद, मृतक का अंतिम संस्कार बिना पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट के कर दिया गया, जिसके कारण सरकारी मदद से वंचित रह गईं यशोमती। वन विभाग के बार-बार के सवालों ने उनकी दशा और भी दयनीय कर दी जिसमें यह पूछना कि मौत भालू हमले से हुई है इसका कोई ठोस प्रमाण क्या है? इतने सालों से वे जंगल से पत्तल-दातुन बेचकर और खेतों में मजदूरी कर अपने बच्चों का पालन-पोषण करती आई हैं।
अगस्त में आर्थिक तंगी के बढ़ने पर यशोमती देवी ने शुक्रवार को गुमला उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के सामने न्याय की गुहार लगाई। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया, “हमें उस वक्त सही जानकारी नहीं थी, पर सच यही है कि मेरे पति की मृत्यु भालू के हमले से हुई थी। अब प्रशासन मेरी मदद करे।”
यह मामला वन्यजीव हमलों की गंभीरता के साथ-साथ सरकारी योजनाओं और मुआवजे के लिए उचित जागरूकता की कमी को भी उजागर करता है। ग्रामीण बताते हैं कि अगर उस समय सही मार्गदर्शन मिलता तो यशोमती को समय पर न्याय मिल जाता और आज की उनकी जिंदगी इतनी कठिनाइयों से भरी नहीं होती।
अब सभी की निगाहें जिला प्रशासन, विशेष रूप से उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित और डीएफओ पर टिकी हैं कि क्या यह पीड़ित महिला लंबे इंतजार के बाद न्याय पा सकेगी या उसकी फरियाद फाइलों में ही दबकर रह जाएगी।
