गुमला : अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी सुरेश प्रसाद यादव ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बताया कि गुमला में हुई ₹10.75 लाख की साइबर ठगी के एक आरोपी को मणिपुर से गिरफ्तार किया गया है। आरोपी की पहचान लुकराम दिनेश मेतई (19) के रूप में हुई, जिसे इंफाल, मणिपुर में उसके घर से दबोच कर शनिवार को गुमला लाया गया।
मामला और जांच
अमरूदिन खान (अम्बेडकर नगर, गुमला) की शिकायत पर यह कार्रवाई हुई। उन्होंने ₹8.45 लाख की ठगी का आरोप लगाया था। गुमला थाना में कांड संख्या 303/2025 के तहत धारा 310(2), 318(4) बीएनएस और आईटी एक्ट की धारा 66(C), 66(D) में मामला दर्ज किया गया।
जांच में पता चला कि शिकायतकर्ता के HDFC बैंक गुमला के दो खातों से ₹10.75 लाख मणिपुर के इंफाल स्थित यूको बैंक, लालालोन ब्रांच में स्थानांतरित हुए थे।
छापेमारी और गिरफ्तारी
गुमला पुलिस अधीक्षक हरिश बिन जामां के निर्देश पर SDPO गुमला के नेतृत्व में विशेष छापेमारी दल बना। इसमें थाना प्रभारी महेंद्र कुमार करमाली, अवर निरीक्षक गौतम वर्मा और सशस्त्र बल शामिल थे।
टीम ने आरोपी के खाते से जुड़ी जानकारी जुटाई और पाया कि 11 सितंबर 2025 को उसने सेल्फ चेक द्वारा ₹8 लाख निकाले थे। गिरफ्तारी के बाद आरोपी ने अपराध स्वीकार किया। उसे 09 अक्टूबर 2025 को विधिवत गिरफ्तार कर इंफाल न्यायालय में पेश किया गया और ट्रांजिट रिमांड पर गुमला लाया गया।
