गुमला: झारखंड के 25वें स्थापना दिवस पर गुमला जिला परिवहन विभाग (DTO) ने नगर भवन परिसर में विशेष सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता स्टॉल लगाकर लोगों को चौंकाने वाले आंकड़े प्रस्तुत किए। स्टॉल का उद्देश्य था—जिलेवासियों को सड़क सुरक्षा नियमों के प्रति जागरूक करना और यह समझाना कि थोड़ी-सी लापरवाही किसी की जान तक ले सकती है। अभियान का मुख्य संदेश था:
“सुरक्षा पहले, स्पीड बाद में।”

भयावह खुलासा: 86% मौतें हेलमेट न पहनने के कारण

स्टॉल पर झारखंड राज्य सड़क दुर्घटना विश्लेषण रिपोर्ट 2020 के आंकड़े प्रदर्शित किए गए, जिन्होंने लोगों को झकझोर दिया।

• दो पहिया वाहन चालकों में होने वाली 86% मौतें सिर्फ हेलमेट न पहनने के कारण होती हैं।
• चार पहिया वाहनों में 80% मौतें सीट बेल्ट न लगाने की वजह से होती हैं।

जिला परिवहन विभाग ने स्पष्ट कहा कि यातायात नियमों की अनदेखी अब बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी और सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

मिथक बनाम सच्चाई : हेलमेट से गंजापन नहीं, जान बचती है

स्टॉल पर लोगों को हेलमेट से जुड़े भ्रमों और वास्तविकता के बारे में जागरूक किया गया।

● मिथक: हेलमेट पहनने से गंजापन आता है

सच्चाई: साफ-सुथरा और सही फिटिंग वाला हेलमेट बाल नहीं झाड़ता, बल्कि सिर की रक्षा करता है।

● मिथक: कम स्पीड पर हेलमेट जरूरी नहीं

सच्चाई: दुर्घटना कहीं भी और कभी भी हो सकती है — हर स्पीड पर हेलमेट अनिवार्य है।

● सुरक्षा मानक:

• केवल ISI/DOT प्रमाणित हेलमेट का उपयोग करें।
• हेलमेट की उम्र अधिकतम 5 वर्ष होती है।
• किसी भी दुर्घटना के बाद हेलमेट को तुरंत बदलें।
• 3 साल से बड़े बच्चों को भी हेलमेट पहनाना अनिवार्य है।

नागरिकों ने ली ‘सुरक्षित सफर’ की शपथ

अभियान के अंत में नागरिकों को रोड सेफ्टी हैंडबुक बांटी गई, जिसमें “रफ़्तार घटाओ, सुरक्षा बढ़ाओ” जैसे संदेश शामिल थे।

इसके बाद उपस्थित लोगों ने सामूहिक रूप से शपथ ली—
“मैं प्रतिज्ञा करता/करती हूँ कि हमेशा हेलमेट पहनकर बाइक चलाऊँगा/चलाऊँगी।”

अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में हुआ समापन

कार्यक्रम का समापन उपायुक्त, पुलिस अधीक्षक और अन्य पदाधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में हुआ, जहाँ सभी ने मिलकर सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति जागरूक रहने की सामूहिक प्रतिज्ञा दोहराई।

इस स्थापना दिवस पर परिवहन विभाग का संदेश स्पष्ट था—
सड़क सुरक्षा कानून नहीं, जीवन की जिम्मेदारी है।
