तिलैया में हाथी हमले में मृत युवकों के आश्रितों को मंत्री योगेंद्र प्रसाद ने सौंपा मुआवजा

बीते वर्ष 10 नवंबर की रात्रि तिलैया में हाथियों के हमले में जान गंवाने वाले दो युवकों के आश्रितों को राज्य सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित मुआवजा राशि प्रदान की मुआवजा
माननीय मंत्री, पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता तथा उत्पाद एवं मद्य निषेध विभाग, आदरणीय श्री योगेंद्र प्रसाद महतो ने पेटरवार स्थित अपने आवासीय कार्यालय में गोमिया प्रखंड अंतर्गत ग्राम पंचायत तिलैया निवासी मृत युवकों के आश्रितों को मुआवजा राशि का चेक सौंपा।
माननीय मंत्री जी ने प्रत्येक आश्रित को तीन लाख पचहत्तर हजार रुपये (₹3,75,000) का चेक प्रदान किया। उल्लेखनीय है कि घटना के तत्काल बाद आश्रितों को ₹25,000 की सहायता राशि दी गई थी। इस प्रकार सरकारी प्रावधान के अनुरूप प्रत्येक परिवार को कुल ₹4,00,000 का मुआवजा प्रदान किया गया।
10 नवंबर की रात हाथी हमले में गई थी दोनों युवकों की जान
बीते वर्ष 10 नवंबर की रात्रि करीब 9:15 बजे, तिलैया रेलवे अंडरपास के ठीक सामने हाथियों ने अचानक हमला कर दिया था। इस हमले में पूर्व मुखिया बालेश्वर महतो के पुत्र प्रकाश कुमार महतो तथा टूनक महतो के पुत्र चरकू महतो की घटनास्थल पर ही कुचलने से दर्दनाक मौत हो गई थी।
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही माननीय मंत्री जी ने मामले को गंभीरता से लेते हुए वन विभाग को कड़ी फटकार लगाई थी और शीघ्र मुआवजा भुगतान का निर्देश दिया था। बाद में उन्होंने स्वयं तिलैया पहुंचकर मृतकों को श्रद्धांजलि भी अर्पित की थी।
आश्रितों को सौंपा गया मुआवजा चेक
माननीय मंत्री श्री योगेंद्र प्रसाद जी ने मृतक प्रकाश कुमार महतो की पत्नी सुमन कुमारी एवं मृतक चरकू महतो की पत्नी पुष्पा कुमारी को मुआवजा राशि का चेक प्रदान किया।
इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार हर परिस्थिति में पीड़ित परिवारों के साथ खड़ी है। किसी भी आपदा या दुर्घटना की स्थिति में प्रभावित परिवारों को त्वरित सहायता उपलब्ध कराना सरकार की प्राथमिकता है। सरकार का उद्देश्य है कि योजनाओं और सहायता का लाभ जरूरतमंदों तक समय पर, पारदर्शी और बिना किसी परेशानी के पहुंचे।
कार्यक्रम में तिलैया पंचायत के पूर्व मुखिया एवं मृतक प्रकाश कुमार महतो के पिता बालेश्वर महतो सहित कई गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित थे।
