सरकार को ग्रामीणों की उपेक्षा की नीति छोड़नी होगी

हाथियों के आतंक के मामले में सक्रिय झारखंड आंदोलनकारी एवं भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के जिला सचिव इफ्तेखार महमूद ने पत्रकारों को बतलाया कि गत 6 फरवरी को ग्राम केरी से वन विभाग के दस्ता रहने के कारण और बिजली की उपलब्धता के चलते जंगली हाथी कोई बड़ा घटना नहीं कर पाए और जंगल की ओर उन्हें भागना पड़ा। लेकिन बड़की पुन्नू, गंगापुर, दरगाहबेडा, कंडेर, तिलैया, इत्यादि जहां भी जंगली हाथियो ने जान माल का नुकसान किया है- उन सभी जगहो पर घटना के समय बिजली गुल थी और वन विभाग का दस्ता उपलब्ध नहीं था। भरोसा किया जाता है कि यदि बिजली रहती तो हाथियों के आतंक से बचा जा सकता था।
वन प्रमंडल पदाधिकारी बोकारो और रेंजर के भारी लापरवाही के कारण ग्रामीणों का जान माल की रक्षा नहीं हो पा रही है। गोमिया प्रक्षेत्र का करीब 2 साल तक रेंजर रहे श्री ए एन तिवारी ने एक बार भी अपने टीम के साथ हाथी प्रभावित क्षेत्रो का दौरा नहीं किया। पिछले करीब एक महीना से पदस्थापित वर्तमान रेंजर सुरेश राम तथा डीएफओ नीतीश कुमार का भी यही दशा है। श्री महमूद का कहना है कि यदि वन विभाग के अधिकारी हाथी प्रभावित इलाकों का नियमित भ्रमण करते रहें और अधीनस्थ कर्मियों को सक्रिय बनाए रखें तो जान माल के नुकसान से बचाया जा सकता है।
श्री महमूद ने आगे कहा कि सरकार के बेहतर नागरिक सुविधा से ग्रामीण बंचित है। डीएमएफटी फंड से अर्बन क्षेत्र में हाई मस्क लाइट लगाया जाता है किंतु इस लाइट का सबसे ज्यादा जरूरत हाथी प्रभावित इलाकों में है। बिजली विभाग भी ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के मामले में काफी लापरवाह है। रात रात भर बिजली के नहीं रहने का पूरा फायदा जंगली हाथी उठते रहते हैं।
भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के जिला सचिव एवं झारखंड आंदोलनकारी इफ्तेखार महमूद ने कहा कि सरकार को ग्रामीणों की उपेक्षा की नीति छोड़नी होगी तभी ग्रामीण सुरक्षित रह सकते हैं।
