गुमला में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन अभियान तेज: संत पात्रिक चर्च में एमडीए 2026 के तहत 75 लोगों ने किया दवा सेवन

गुमला : – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय स्थित संत पात्रिक चर्च, गुमिया , जिला गुमला में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन अभियान के अंतर्गत एमडीए 2026 (Mass Drug Administration) कार्यक्रम का सफल आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम फादर जोरम एक्का के नेतृत्व में संपन्न हुआ, जिसमें लगभग 75 स्थानीय नागरिकों एवं श्रद्धालुओं को फाइलेरिया से बचाव हेतु दवा का सेवन कराया गया।

इस अवसर पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग ओर पिरामल फाउंडेशन की टीम द्वारा उपस्थित लोगों को एमडीए दवा के महत्व, फाइलेरिया संक्रमण की प्रक्रिया, इसके लक्षण, बचाव एवं रोकथाम के उपायों की विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान बताया गया कि फाइलेरिया एक परजीवी जनित रोग है, जो संक्रमित मच्छरों के माध्यम से फैलता है। सामूहिक दवा सेवन (MDA) इस बीमारी को जड़ से समाप्त करने का सबसे प्रभावी माध्यम है। दवा सेवन के पश्चात कुछ व्यक्तियों में हल्का बुखार, सिरदर्द, बदन दर्द, चक्कर या उल्टी जैसे सामान्य लक्षण दिखाई दे सकते हैं, जो शरीर में मौजूद परजीवियों के नष्ट होने की प्रक्रिया का संकेत हैं। ऐसे लक्षणों से घबराने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।

स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने सभी पात्र लाभार्थियों से अपील की है कि वे एमडीए अभियान के अंतर्गत दी जाने वाली दवा का अनिवार्य रूप से सेवन करें एवं अपने परिवार तथा समुदाय के अन्य सदस्यों को भी इसके लिए प्रेरित करें, ताकि जिला गुमला को फाइलेरिया मुक्त बनाया जा सके। यह दवा पूर्णतः सुरक्षित एवं प्रभावी है तथा प्रशिक्षित स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों की देखरेख में दी जाती है।

जिला प्रशासन एवं स्वास्थ्य विभाग के साथ समन्वय स्थापित करते हुए पिरामल फाउंडेशन की टीम लगातार सहयोग प्रदान कर रही है और जिला गुमला को फाइलेरिया मुक्त बनाने की दिशा में सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रही है।
