राष्ट्रीय पल्स पोलियो अभियान का शुभारंभ, 1.49 लाख बच्चों को पिलाई जाएगी पोलियो रोधी दवा

गुमला : राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन एवं स्वास्थ्य विभाग, गुमला के तत्वावधान में राष्ट्रीय पल्स पोलियो कार्यक्रम के तहत तीन दिवसीय विशेष अभियान का जिला स्तरीय शुभारंभ रविवार को सदर अस्पताल, गुमला के सभागार में किया गया। अभियान के तहत जिले में 0 से 5 वर्ष तक के 1 लाख 49 हजार 570 बच्चों को पोलियो रोधी दवा की दो बूंद पिलाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है।

कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन उप विकास आयुक्त अनिमेश रंजन एवं एसआरएम नोडल पदाधिकारी डॉ. प्रदीप कुमार सिंह ने बच्चों को पोलियो की दवा पिलाकर किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता सिविल सर्जन डॉ. शम्भूनाथ चौधरी ने की। इस अवसर पर जिला यक्ष्मा पदाधिकारी डॉ. के.के. मिश्रा, जिला प्रतिरक्षण पदाधिकारी डॉ. सुनील राम, सदर अस्पताल के उपाधीक्षक डॉ. अनुपम किशोर सहित स्वास्थ्य विभाग के कई अधिकारी एवं कर्मी उपस्थित थे।

उप विकास आयुक्त अनिमेश रंजन ने कहा कि पोलियो जैसी गंभीर बीमारी को देश से समाप्त करने में जनसहभागिता की अहम भूमिका रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि एक भी बच्चा पोलियो की दवा पीने से वंचित रह जाता है, तो यह पूरे समाज के लिए चिंता का विषय हो सकता है। उन्होंने अभिभावकों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि “कोई भी बच्चा छूटे नहीं, सुरक्षा कवच टूटे नहीं।” सभी माता-पिता अपने पांच वर्ष तक के बच्चों को पोलियो की दवा अवश्य पिलाएं और स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों का सहयोग करें।

सिविल सर्जन डॉ. शम्भूनाथ चौधरी ने कहा कि पोलियो से बचाव का एकमात्र प्रभावी उपाय समय-समय पर बच्चों को पोलियो की खुराक देना है। उन्होंने कहा कि “दो बूंद जिंदगी की, पोलियो पर अंतिम प्रहार” केवल एक नारा नहीं, बल्कि प्रत्येक बच्चे के स्वस्थ एवं सुरक्षित भविष्य का संकल्प है। उन्होंने सभी स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों एवं सहियाओं से पूरी जिम्मेदारी और समर्पण के साथ अभियान को सफल बनाने का आह्वान किया।

जिला प्रतिरक्षण पदाधिकारी डॉ. सुनील राम ने बताया कि अभियान के पहले दिन जिले के सभी 597 पोलियो बूथों पर बच्चों को दवा पिलाई जाएगी। वहीं 29 और 30 जून को 1,198 टीमों के माध्यम से घर-घर जाकर उन बच्चों को पोलियो की दवा पिलाई जाएगी, जो किसी कारणवश बूथ तक नहीं पहुंच पाएंगे। अभियान की निगरानी के लिए 119 सुपरवाइजर तैनात किए गए हैं।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में मुख्य अतिथि एवं अन्य अधिकारियों ने बच्चों को पोलियो की खुराक पिलाकर अभियान का औपचारिक शुभारंभ किया तथा जिलेवासियों से अपील की कि वे अपने आसपास के प्रत्येक पांच वर्ष तक के बच्चे को पोलियो की दो बूंद दवा अवश्य पिलवाएं, ताकि गुमला सहित पूरा देश पोलियो मुक्त बना रहे।

इस अवसर पर जिला कार्यक्रम प्रबंधक जया रेशमा खाखा, जिला कार्यक्रम समन्वयक अभिनित आनंद, जिला लेखा प्रबंधक प्रमोद साहु, जिला डाटा प्रबंधक मो. इकबाल सहित अन्य स्वास्थ्यकर्मी उपस्थित थे।
