गुमला: गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर भरनो थाना पुलिस ने कार्रवाई करते हुए एक युवक को अवैध हथियार के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, युवक हथियार का भय दिखाकर किसी बड़ी घटना को अंजाम देने की फिराक में था। उसके पास से एक देसी कट्टा और जिंदा कारतूस बरामद किया गया है।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, खलबी टोली गांव में एक युवक के अवैध हथियार के साथ मौजूद होने की सूचना मिली थी। इस सूचना के आधार पर गुमला पुलिस अधीक्षक हरिस बिन जामां के निर्देश पर और एसडीपीओ सुरेश प्रसाद यादव के नेतृत्व में विशेष छापेमारी दल का गठन किया गया।
23 अगस्त 2026 को पुलिस टीम ने खलबी टोली तालाब के पास छापेमारी की। पुलिस को देखते ही एक युवक भागने का प्रयास करने लगा। हालांकि, छापेमारी में शामिल सशस्त्र बल की मदद से उसे मौके पर ही पकड़ लिया गया। तलाशी के दौरान उसके पास से अवैध हथियार बरामद किया गया।
पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार युवक की पहचान सारु टाना भगत (24 वर्ष), पिता-सोमा टाना भगत, निवासी खलबी टोली, थाना भरनो, जिला गुमला के रूप में की है।

पुलिस के अनुसार, गिरफ्तार युवक के खिलाफ आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई करते हुए उसे गुमला जेल भेज दिया गया है।

छापेमारी दल में एसडीपीओ सुरेश प्रसाद यादव, अंचल निरीक्षक सिसई विनय कुमार, भरनो थाना प्रभारी पु०अ०नि० संतोष कुमार सिंह, पु०अ०नि० महादेव यादव, पु०अ०नि० अभिनन्दन कुमार, पु०अ०नि० मंटू चौधरी, पु०अ०नि० निर्मल प्रसाद समेत भरनो थाना के सशस्त्र बल शामिल रहे।
