गुमला न्यूज प्रमुख – गणपत लाल चौरसिया 

गुमला: अंतर्राष्ट्रीय साक्षरता दिवस पर गुमला जिले के स्कूलों में पढ़ाई का एक अलग ही नजारा देखने को मिला। जिले के सभी विद्यालयों में एक साथ ‘Read-a-Thon’ सामूहिक पठन कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें 50 हजार से ज्यादा बच्चों ने एक साथ किताबें पढ़ीं। सुबह 11 बजे से 11:30 बजे तक पूरे 30 मिनट विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकों और विद्यालय से जुड़े लोगों ने निर्बाध रूप से पठन किया।

यह कार्यक्रम पठन अभियान 2026 के तहत आयोजित किया गया था। ‘ड्रॉप एवरीथिंग एंड रीड’ की अवधारणा पर आधारित इस पहल में बच्चों ने अपनी पसंद के अनुसार किताब, कहानी, बाल साहित्य और दूसरी पठन सामग्री चुनी और आधे घंटे तक लगातार पढ़ने में जुटे रहे।

बच्चों के साथ शिक्षकों ने भी बढ़ाया उत्साह

Read-a-Thon में सिर्फ विद्यार्थी ही शामिल नहीं हुए, बल्कि शिक्षकों और विद्यालय से जुड़े अन्य हितधारकों ने भी बच्चों के साथ पठन गतिविधि में भाग लिया। इसका उद्देश्य बच्चों को किताबों के करीब लाने के साथ स्कूलों में पढ़ने के लिए बेहतर माहौल तैयार करना रहा।

जिला शिक्षा अधीक्षक नूर आलम खां ने भ्रमण के दौरान मध्य विद्यालय टोटो पहुंचकर कार्यक्रम का जायजा लिया। उन्होंने बच्चों से बातचीत की और उन्हें नियमित रूप से पढ़ने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। उनके साथ जिला FLN PMU से सत्यजीत मंडल भी मौजूद रहे।

सभी प्रखंडों में हुई निगरानी

जिले के सभी प्रखंडों में बीपीओ, बीआरपी और सीआरपी ने अलग-अलग विद्यालयों में पहुंचकर कार्यक्रम का अनुश्रवण किया। वहीं प्रधानाध्यापकों और शिक्षकों के समन्वय से विद्यालयों में गतिविधि को निर्धारित समय पर संचालित कराया गया।

सिर्फ किताब पढ़ना नहीं, पढ़ने की आदत विकसित करना लक्ष्य

Read-a-Thon का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में नियमित और एकाग्र होकर पढ़ने की आदत विकसित करना, पठन के प्रति रुचि बढ़ाना और उनके पठन कौशल व पठन-बोध को मजबूत करना है।

कार्यक्रम के जरिए विद्यालयों में पढ़ने की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने और बच्चों के लिए पठन-अनुकूल वातावरण तैयार करने का संदेश दिया गया। बड़ी संख्या में बच्चों की सामूहिक भागीदारी ने इस अभियान को जिलेभर में एक साझा पठन गतिविधि का रूप दिया।
