गुमला: जिले में अवैध बालू खनन और परिवहन के खिलाफ प्रशासन ने कार्रवाई तेज कर दी है। रविवार को अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी-सह-दंडाधिकारी अखिलेश कुमार के नेतृत्व में विभिन्न मार्गों पर चलाए गए जांच अभियान के दौरान चार ट्रैक्टर जब्त किए गए। इन वाहनों से करीब 360 सीएफटी बालू लदा मिला।

यह कार्रवाई 24 अगस्त 2026 को उपायुक्त की अध्यक्षता में हुई जिला टास्क फोर्स (खनन) की समीक्षा बैठक में दिए गए निर्देश और प्राप्त गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर की गई।

सिसई रोड पर दो ट्रैक्टर पकड़े गए

जांच के दौरान गुमला थाना क्षेत्र के सिसई रोड स्थित पुरू करमडीपा के पास दो ट्रैक्टरों को अवैध बालू परिवहन करते पाया गया। प्रशासनिक टीम को देखकर वाहन चालकों ने वाहनों को इधर-उधर ले जाने का प्रयास किया। जांच में दोनों चालकों के पास बालू परिवहन से संबंधित जरूरी दस्तावेज नहीं मिले।

इसके बाद दोनों ट्रैक्टरों को जब्त कर गुमला थाना में सुरक्षित अभिरक्षा के लिए सुपुर्द कर दिया गया।

जशपुर और पालकोट रोड पर भी कार्रवाई

जशपुर रोड पर जांच के दौरान एक सोनालिका ट्रैक्टर से अवैध रूप से बालू का परिवहन किए जाने की पुष्टि हुई। चालक के पास आवश्यक दस्तावेज नहीं मिलने पर वाहन को जब्त कर गुमला थाना भेजा गया।

वहीं पालकोट रोड पर मरदा नदी के पास एक महिंद्रा ट्रैक्टर को बालू का अवैध उठाव करते पकड़ा गया। प्रशासन ने वाहन को जब्त कर गुमला थाना क्षेत्र के उर्मी पिकेट में सुरक्षित अभिरक्षा के लिए सुपुर्द किया।

वाहन मालिकों पर होगी आगे की कार्रवाई

प्रारंभिक जांच में चारों वाहनों पर कुल करीब 360 सीएफटी बालू लदा पाया गया। मामले में संबंधित वाहन चालकों और वाहन मालिकों के खिलाफ खनन नियमों के तहत आगे की कार्रवाई की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी गई है।

प्रशासन के अनुसार जिले में अवैध बालू खनन, परिवहन और भंडारण के खिलाफ जांच अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेगा। प्रशासन ने आम लोगों से भी अपील की है कि अवैध खनन या बालू के अवैध परिवहन की जानकारी मिलने पर संबंधित अधिकारियों को सूचना दें, ताकि प्राकृतिक संसाधनों के संरक्षण के साथ सरकारी राजस्व की भी सुरक्षा की जा सके।
