पॉलिटेक्निक कॉलेज में तंबाकू निषेध व खाद्य सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित, खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने पालकोट रोड स्थित डेयरी प्रतिष्ठान का भी लिया जायजा

गुमला : – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय स्थित पॉलिटेक्निक कॉलेज में तंबाकू व निकोटीन के दुष्प्रभावों और खाद्य सुरक्षा (फ़ूड सेफ्टी) के प्रति छात्र-छात्राओं को जागरूक करने के उद्देश्य से एक विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस जागरूकता सत्र में कॉलेज के 100 से अधिक विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया। 
कार्यक्रम का संयुक्त नेतृत्व खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी एवं तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो ने किया। 
कार्यक्रम के दौरान तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो ने विद्यार्थियों को निकोटीन और तंबाकू के सेवन से होने वाले गंभीर शारीरिक व मानसिक नुकसानों के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। उन्होंने विशेष वीडियो प्रस्तुति के माध्यम से छात्रों को समझाया कि निकोटीन किस प्रकार शरीर के अंगों, विशेषकर मस्तिष्क, हृदय, फेफड़ों और तंत्रिका तंत्र को धीरे-धीरे नुकसान पहुँचाता है और युवाओं को गंभीर लत की ओर धकेल देता है। 
वहीं, खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी ने विद्यार्थियों को फ़ूड सेफ्टी (खाद्य सुरक्षा) और स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में विस्तार से बताया। उन्होंने छात्रों को मिलावटी और अस्वच्छ खानपान से होने वाली बीमारियों के प्रति सचेत करते हुए शुद्ध, पौष्टिक और सुरक्षित आहार अपनाने पर बल दिया। 
इसके साथ ही, खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों और गुणवत्ता की जांच के क्रम में खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने पालकोट रोड, गुमला स्थित ” रिद्धि डेयरी & क्रीमरी” का भी जायजा लिया। इस प्रतिष्ठान में मिलने वाले दूध एवं दूध से बने उत्पादों जैसे ताजा दूध,पनीर, खोवा, रबड़ी, मिल्क केक और मक्खन आदि की गुणवत्ता व रख-रखाव की स्थिति का अवलोकन किया गया। इस दौरान संचालक को स्वच्छता मानकों का कड़ाई से पालन करने तथा आम उपभोक्ताओं को शुद्ध व सुरक्षित दुग्ध उत्पाद उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए गए।
