Finally confirmed, Vivek Agnihotri’s next movie “The Vaccine War” will compete at the box office on September 28 alongside Salaar starring Prabhas.
The Vaccine War by Vivek Agnihotri is currently being prepared for release. Recently, the director claimed to be “bankrupt” and said that shooting his next movie would be a “struggle.” In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Vivek Agnihotri was questioned if The Vaccine War might match The Kashmir Files’ commercial success. He responded, “I don’t care about all these things. The Kashmir Files is, in my opinion, a financially successful venture for you and possibly Zed. Although I’m not the main recipient, I am one of the beneficiaries. It was a Zed creation.
The Vaccine War is his upcoming project, and he continued, “Any money I made, I invested in it, so as usual, I’m broke. Pallavi and I were talking about how broke we are once more. The conflict resumes in the following movie.
He also spoke candidly about the bloodshed in The Kashmir Files, claiming, “I did not incite the violence. I did not exalt that violence. I captured the violence in its natural setting. It is acceptable to depict a war. But it’s terrible to constantly praise Hitler by playing war games with your kids in which he kills everyone. It’s wicked to glorify violence for the sake of violence. However, it is completely acceptable to demonstrate violence and how it was used to slaughter humanity.
We should be able to draw a line similar to the violence that is occurring in Bengal under the administration of Madam Mamata Banerjee, he continued. You are quite welcome if someone does. However, I don’t think it’s good to glorify violence by having someone slash everyone with a sword or rifle, as in usual violent Bollywood movies.
In the recently released online series The Kashmir Files Unreported, Kashmiri Pandits share their personal accounts of the unrest and evacuation in 1990. ZEE5 premiered the series on August 11.
Meanwhile, The 2022 hit The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, also stars Mithoon Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Bhasha Sumbli, Puneet Issar, and Prakash Belawadi in the key parts. The movie received a tonne of positive feedback from viewers and ended up earning Rs 350 crore at the box office. Now, the director is preparing to wow the audience once more with a new film, The Vaccine War.
Among the cast members of The Vaccine War are Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Sapthami Gowda, Nana Patekar, and Paritosh Sand. This Dussehra, a movie based on India’s efforts to create the COVID-19 vaccine, will be released.
Vivek recently stated, without naming any names, “People aren’t born violent. Your children’s minds are conditioned by the glamourization of violence in popular literature, film, and politics by industry leaders who ought to be encouraging young people to think peacefully instead. #CreativeConsciousness is the only answer in such a violent environment.
Now that excessive violence has been glamourized in film, he continued, “talent also includes that. Promoting absurd film is seen as a greater talent. The biggest talent is promoting a non-actor as the biggest star. And the mother of all talent is presuming the audience is extremely stupid. His tweets were sent out a few hours after the Salaar trailer, in which Prabhas is referred to as “the most violent man.”
