A large fire at Delhi Children’s Hospital left six newborns dead and numerous others injured.

NEW DELHI : TV reports state that a large fire at the New Born Baby Care Hospital in Delhi on Saturday resulted in the deaths of six babies and the injuries of dozens more.

Late at night, a sizable fire broke out at a children’s hospital in the east Delhi neighbourhood of Vivek Vihar, saving eleven infants, according to officials.

At 11:32 p.m., the Delhi Fire Services got a call, and nine fire tenders were sent to the location right once.

Atul Garg, the chief of DFS, says that the rescue effort is still ongoing. The origin of the fire remains unknown at this time. “The Baby Care Center, located close to ITI in Block B of the Vivek Vihar neighborhood, made a fire call. A total of nine fir tenders were dispatched,” Garg said.
