On not becoming a minister, Basant Soren said – Ministerial post is too small for me

Hemant Soren’s government has once again been formed in Jharkhand. The cabinet also expanded on Monday. Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s younger brother Basant Soren was given a place in the previous cabinet, but this time he has been dropped. When the journalists talked to him after not becoming a minister and asked whether he had any regrets in his mind. So he said, there’s nothing to regret about. When he was asked that he remained a minister for a very short tenure. To this Basant Soren replied that “ministerial post is a very small post for me. I have no regrets that I did not become a minister this time.”

When he was asked what he would like to say to the people of Dumka, he said that I have no words for the people of Dumka. “I am always there for them. I will never let them be deprived of those things which they have expected from me.” Basant Soren is MLA from Dumka. Two MLAs from Dumka district did not get a place in the cabinet this time. One is Jarmundi MLA Badal Patralekh and the other is Dumka MLA Basant Soren.
Let us inform that on Monday, Hemant cabinet was expanded in which 11 ministers took oath. There was discussion since yesterday morning that Basant Soren could also be included in the cabinet but by afternoon it had become clear that Basant Soren was not going to take oath as minister. This time three new MLAs have got a place in the cabinet. They include Deepika Pandey, Vaidyanath Ram and Irfan Ansari.
