गुमला – गुमला पुलिस कप्तान शंभू कुमार सिंह ने गुमला अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी सुरेश प्रसाद यादव की उपस्थिति में अपने कार्यालय कक्ष में एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस आयोजित कर बताया की दिनांक 30.07.2024 को गुमला थाना अन्तर्गत मेन रोड स्थित कनक ज्वेलर्स दुकान में लुटपाट करने के उद्देश्य से पाँच अपराधीकर्मी आये थे तथा लुटपाट के ईरादे से दो अपराधकर्मी कनक ज्वेलर्स के अन्दर हथियार लिए प्रवेश किये। दुकान मालिक द्वारा अपराकर्मियों का विरोध करने पर अपराधकर्मियों के द्वारा दुकान के मालिक के उपर फायरिंग भी किया गया, जिससे आभूषण दुकान के मालिक घायल हो गये थे। इस घटनाक्रम के दौरान दुकान में काम करने वाली महिला कर्मी आशा देवी अपने सूझ-बूझ एवं साहस का परिचय देते हुए शोर मचाते हुए आभूषण दुकान से बाहर निकली, जिससे अपराधियों द्वारा आभूषण दुकान में लूट की घटना को अंजाम नहीं दिया जा सका।
आज दिनांक 14.08.2024 को श्रीमति आशा देवी तथा आभूषण दुकान के मालिक श्री प्रकाश कुमार के इस सूझ-बूझ एवं साहस के लिए श्री शम्भू कुमार ठाकुर, पुलिस अधीक्षक, गुमला द्वारा फूलों का गुलदस्ता एवं शॉल देकर सम्मनित किया गया।
साथ ही गुमला पुलिस द्वारा इस घटना में शामिल 05 अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजा जा चुका है तथा पुलिस कर्मियों द्वारा छापामारी के दौरान 01 अपराधकर्मी घायल हो गया है। शेष अपराकर्मियों की गिरफ्तारी हेतु S.I.T. टीम द्वारा लगातार छापामारी की जा रही है।
