गुमला में राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस का आयोजन, खिलाड़ियों को सम्मानित किया गया

गुमला – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय स्थित नगर भवन में आज राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के अवसर पर जिले के राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के खिलाड़ियों को सम्मानित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन मुख्य अतिथि जिला वन प्रमंडल पदाधिकारी अहमद बेलाल अनवर और उप विकास आयुक्त दिलेश्वर महतो ने दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया।

समारोह में जिला वन प्रमंडल पदाधिकारी और उप विकास आयुक्त ने खिलाड़ियों को अंग वस्त्र और प्रतीक चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर जिला वन प्रमंडल पदाधिकारी ने खिलाड़ियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि जिले के खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मेडल जीत रहे हैं, जो जिले के लिए गर्व की बात है।

उन्होंने कहा कि खेल अब केवल मनोरंजन का साधन नहीं, बल्कि देश का गौरव बढ़ाने का माध्यम बन चुके हैं। उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों से अपेक्षा जताई कि वे अपने क्षेत्र में बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर जिले और देश का नाम रोशन करेंगे। उन्होंने सभी खिलाड़ियों को बधाई और शुभकामनाएं दीं।

उप विकास आयुक्त दिलेश्वर महतो ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि हॉकी के जादूगर मेजर ध्यानचंद के जन्मदिवस को राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है, और गुमला में इस अवसर पर खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहित करने की परंपरा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि गुमला, जो खेलनगरी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है, आगे भी अपने खिलाड़ियों के उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन से जिले और राज्य का नाम रोशन करता रहेगा।

इस अवसर पर जिले के फुटबॉल कोच रिजवान अली को भी सम्मानित किया गया। वर्ष 2023-24 में राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विजयी हुए कुल 34 खिलाड़ियों को इस कार्यक्रम में पुरस्कृत किया गया।

राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के अवसर पर जिले में विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन किया गया। इनमें मैराथन रेस (सावित्री बाई पुस्तकालय से बांसडीह तक), जिसमें बालक वर्ग के लिए 10 किलोमीटर और बालिका वर्ग के लिए 5 किलोमीटर की दौड़ शामिल थी, इंडोर स्टेडियम में बैडमिंटन प्रतियोगिता, और संत इग्नासुस स्कूल में हॉकी प्रतियोगिता शामिल थीं। इन सभी प्रतियोगिताओं में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले खिलाड़ियों को नगर भवन में आयोजित समारोह के दौरान सम्मानित किया गया।

इस सम्मान समारोह में जिला खेल पदाधिकारी मनोज कुमार सहित कई खेल प्रेमी उपस्थित थे।
