Babulal Marandi Criticizes JMM Government Over Unemployment and Delayed Exam Results, Calls Out Hemant Soren for Inaction

Ranchi: In a sharp critique of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government, Babulal Marandi, the Jharkhand BJP President, took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concerns over the state’s rising unemployment and the delayed results of competitive exams. Marandi directly blamed Chief Minister Hemant Soren for the stagnation, accusing him of neglecting the needs of the state’s youth.

“Millions of unemployed youth in Jharkhand are desperately waiting for job opportunities. The position of JPSC (Jharkhand Public Service Commission) Chairman remains vacant, resulting in the delay of several examination results. However, Hemant Soren Ji seems to have no urgency in appointing a new JPSC Chairman. Meanwhile, when a ministerial post becomes vacant, it is filled within a day,” Marandi posted, highlighting the disparity in priorities.

Marandi’s remarks come amidst growing frustration among Jharkhand’s youth, who are anxiously awaiting the outcomes of various competitive exams. The delay has been attributed to the prolonged vacancy of the JPSC Chairman’s position, a key role necessary for the timely declaration of exam results. This vacancy has left many candidates in limbo, exacerbating the unemployment crisis in the state.

The BJP leader did not mince words, accusing Soren of disrespecting the very youth who played a crucial role in bringing him to power. “Hemant Ji, remember, this power and these ministerial positions were given to you because of the millions of young people who are now being humiliated by the scourge of unemployment. The youth of Jharkhand will never forget this insult,” Marandi warned.

In his post, Marandi also pointed out the apparent contradiction in the Soren government’s actions. He criticized the recent appointment of a minister for just one month, suggesting that the decision was made out of fear and lacked long-term planning. “Hemant Soren has appointed a minister for a mere one-month term. It seems he made this appointment out of fear, with no regard for the stability or future of the administration,” Marandi added.

The BJP leader’s criticism was not limited to Hemant Soren alone. Marandi’s post also tagged senior BJP figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other prominent leaders like B.L. Santosh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and L.K. Bajpai, highlighting the broader political context of his remarks.

Marandi’s statements have struck a chord with many in Jharkhand, where the youth unemployment rate remains a pressing issue. The delay in exam results, coupled with the perceived inaction of the state government, has fueled dissatisfaction among job seekers, who feel increasingly marginalized by the current administration.

As the state grapples with these challenges, Marandi’s critique adds to the mounting pressure on the JMM government to address the concerns of Jharkhand’s youth. The BJP, with Marandi at the forefront, appears poised to capitalize on this discontent as it gears up for the next electoral battle in the state.

The unfolding situation underscores the need for swift action by the Soren government to restore confidence among the youth and demonstrate a genuine commitment to resolving the unemployment crisis. Whether or not these criticisms will spur the government into action remains to be seen, but the political stakes are undeniably high as public frustration continues to grow.
