गुमला – गुमला व्यवहार न्यायालय के एडीजे वन प्रेम शंकर की अदालत ने रांची जिला अंतर्गत स्थित लापूंग दानेकरा ग्राम निवासी 50 वर्षीय सहबू महतो को मंदबुद्धि महिला के साथ दुष्कर्म के मामले में धारा 376 के तहत 12 साल की सजा व 10 हजार रूपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है. घटना के समय पीड़िता महिला अपने खेत से धान काट कर लौट रही थी उसी दौरान अभियुक्त ने उसे अकेला पाकर उसके साथ दुष्कर्म किया. इस संबंध में पीड़िता की दूर के एक रिश्तेदार ने सहबू के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई थी.
जिसमें कहा गया है कि मैं बाजार की ओर जा रही थी उसी दौरान झाड़ी के पीछे बचाव-बचाव की आवाज आ रहा था जहां मैं जाकर देखी कि मेरी मंदबुद्धि मामी सास के साथ एक व्यक्ति दुष्कर्म कर रहा. जिसके बाद मेरे आवाज देने पर वह व्यक्ति वहां से भागने लगा. मेरे चिल्लाने की आवाज सुन कर वहां लोग एकठ्ठा हुये और अभियुक्त सहबू को पकड़कर पुलिस के हवाले दिया.
