In a significant political development in Hazaribagh district, former Barhi MLA Uma Shankar Akela officially joined the Congress party. The induction took place under the leadership of Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh.
