बोकारो में विश्व जल दिवस पर सरयू राय ने कहा-जल की शुद्धता, निर्मलता और अविरलता को बनाये रखने के लिए जियोलॉजी और इकोलॉजी की जरूरत

बोकारो : विश्व जल दिवस के अवसर पर युगांतर भारती, नेचर फाउंडेशन, जल जागरूकता अभियान और दामोदर बचाओ आंदोलन के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में बोकारो जिला के आशालता केंद्र, सेक्टर पांच में एक दिवसीय संगोष्ठी का आयोजन हुआ।

संगोष्ठी में जमशेदपुर पश्चिमी के विधायक और दामोदर बचाओ आंदोलन के अध्यक्ष ने बतौर मुख्य अतिथि सरयू राय ने कहा कि जल की शुद्धता, निर्मलता और अविरलता को बनाये रखने के लिए जियोलॉजी और इकोलॉजी दोनों की अत्यंत आवश्यकता है। सरकारों और आम जनता को इस पर विशेष ध्यान देना चाहिए। इस वर्ष संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने अपना थीम ग्लेशियर का संरक्षण रखा है। स्वयंसेवी संस्था युगांतर भारती के तीन स्थायी कार्यक्रमों में से यह एक है।

श्री राय ने कहा कि झारखंड के परिप्रेक्ष्य में देखें तो यहां ग्लेशियर नहीं है, जिससे हमें पीने योग्य पानी प्रत्यक्ष रूप से प्राप्त हो सके। धरती में व्याप्त सम्पूर्ण जल में से मात्र तीन प्रतिशत ही पीने योग्य है। तीन प्रतिशत में से एक प्रतिशत पानी छोटे-छोटे जल स्रोतों, कुंओं, भूगर्भ जल को मिलाकर है। बाकी दो प्रतिशत ग्लेशियर के बर्फ के रूप में विद्यमान है। इसलिए हमें मुख्य रूप से उस एक प्रतिशत पानी की चिंता करनी है।

श्री राय ने कहा कि जैसा कि बीएसएल के नवीन श्रीवास्तव ने कहा है कि दिसंबर 2027 तक इनका सीवरेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट बन जाएगा और ये लोग जब अपने प्लांट से जीरो डिस्चार्ज करेंगे तो हमलोग भी उस दिन से दामोदर को औद्योगिक प्रदूषण से सौ प्रतिशत मुक्त घोषित कर देंगे।

संगोष्ठी के विशिष्ट अतिथि बीपीएससीएल के महाप्रबंधक आर.आर. सिन्हा ने कहा कि हमलोग बोकारो स्टील प्लांट के सहयोग से अपने प्लांट से प्रदूषण रोकने का हरसंभव प्रयास कर रहे हैं। जल और इसे स्रोतों को प्रदूषण से बचाने और संरक्षित रखने के लिए पूरे मानव समाज को आगे आना होगा तभी हमलोग जल संकट जैसे वैश्विक समस्या से उबर पाएंगे।

आईआईटी-आईएसएम धनबाद के विभागाध्यक्ष (पर्यावरण) और प्रो. सामाजिक संस्था युगांतर भारती के अध्यक्ष अंशुल शरण ने कहा है कि विश्व का 70 प्रतिशत ताजा जल का स्रोत ग्लेशियर ही हैं. पर्यावरण में स्थिरता बनाने में, आर्थिक स्थिरता और संस्कृतियों की सुरक्षा के लिए ग्लेशियर संरक्षण की सख्त जरूरत है. उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने वर्ष 2025 में जल दिवस का थीम ग्लेशियर प्रिजर्वेशन (संरक्षण) ही रखा है. जाहिर है, आने वाले दिनों में हमें ग्लेशियरों का संरक्षण करना ही होगा.

सेमिनार में अंशुल शरण ने कहा कि अगर आज सारा ग्लेशियर पिघल जाए तो समुद्र का जलस्तर 60 मीटर बढ़ जाएगा. श्री शरण ने यह भी बताया कि लद्दाख जैसे ठंडे रेगिस्तान में कृत्रिम ग्लेशियर बनता है और गर्मी में उसका जल खेती के लिए उपयोग में लाया जाता है। इसलिए ग्लेशियर का संरक्षण हम सभी की जिम्मेदारी है।

गंगा व दामोदर से ज़्यादा गरगा जैसी सहायक नदियों को बचाने की कोशिश हो : अंशुल शरण 

अंशुल शरण ने दामोदर बचाओ आंदोलन के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं से आग्रह किया कि 5 जून को पर्यावरण दिवस है। यह सुखद संयोग है कि उसी दिन गंगा दशहरा भी है। इसलिए इस वर्ष दामोदर नद के किनारे नदी पूजन के अलावा वृक्षारोपण, संगोष्ठी और अन्य जन चेतना से जुड़े कार्यक्रम भी वृहद रूप में आयोजित किये जाएंगे।

प्रो. अंशुमाली ने कहा कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने एक प्रतिवेदन तैयार किया है, जिसमें पर्वत और ग्लेशियर को मुख्य रूप से शामिल किया गया है। दामोदर नदी का विस्तार 25000 वर्ग किलोमीटर में है और इसकी सहायक नदियों के किनारे ही अधिकांश उद्योगों का विकास हुआ है। दामोदर में करीब 60 से ज़्यादा सहायक नदियाँ इसे झारखंड की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण नदी बनाती है। इसलिए हमे गंगा और दामोदर से ज़्यादा गर्गा जैसी छोटी सहायक नदियों को बचाने की जरूरत है।

सेमिनार में दामोदर बचाओ आंदोलन के जिला संयोजक सुरेंद्र प्रसाद सिन्हा ने बोकारो जिला का वार्षिक लेखा-जोखा रखा। स्वागत भाषण डा. रतन केजरीवाल ने दिया जबकि धन्यवाद ज्ञापन शंकर स्वर्णकार ने किया. मंच संचालन श्रवण कुमार सिंह ने किया।

कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में डा. अशोक, ललित सिन्हा, विश्वनाथ यादव, टीनू सिंह, मधुसूदन कुमार, अशोक जगनानी, विक्रम महतो, भैरव महतो, विक्की साव, कौशल किशोर, हरे राम यादव सहित अन्य की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका थी.
