गुमला – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत स्थित भरनो प्रखंड के जिरहुल ग्राम के जंगल में अपने झुंड से बिछड़े तीन जंगली हाथियों का झुंड उक्त जंगल में प्रवेश करने से वन क्षेत्रों और आसपास में निवास करने वाले ग्रामीणों में दहशत का माहौल उत्पन्न हो गया हैं , उक्त लोग जिला प्रशासन – स्थानीय प्रशासन और वन विभाग से समय रहते अपने जान माल की सुरक्षा की गुहार लगाई हैं , इसी बीच भरनो प्रखंड स्थित बोड़ो टोली में एक बिगड़ैल और आक्रोर्षित जंगली हांथी ने बीते रात लगभग 2:00 बजे भरनों उत्तरी पंचायत स्थित बोडो टोली गांव निवासी भदूराम के घर को दूसरी बार क्षतिग्रस्त करते हुए घर में रखे तीन बोरा धान एवं घरेलू सामान खा गया और बर्बाद कर दिया, भरनो प्रखंड स्थित जिरहुल ग्राम के श्री पहाड़ के चलहट्टी पर तीन हांथियों के झुण्ड देखर उक्त क्षेत्रों में निवास करने वाले ग्रामीणों में दहशत का माहौल व्याप्त हो गया है , बताया जाता है की अमलिया पंचायत स्थित अंबाटोली ग्राम के राजेश मुंडा के मिट्टी का घर को क्षतिग्रस्त कर घर में रखे पांच बोरा अनाज को चैट कर गया और घरेलू सामानों को तहस- नहस कर दिया इसके अलावा शमशेर करंज टोली ग्राम में कई किसानों के खेतों में लगे हुए गेहूं के फसलों को रौंदकर बर्बाद कर दिया हैं, संबंधित पीड़ित किसानों ने वन विभाग को आवेदन देकर मुआवजा की गुहार लगाई गई हैं।
