बिना वीजा-पासपोर्ट जशपुर पहुंचा नाइजीरियाई युवक गिरफ्तार, शादी के इरादे से आया था भारत

जशपुर, छत्तीसगढ़ — विदेशी नागरिक अधिनियम 1946 की धारा 14 के तहत एक नाइजीरियाई नागरिक को बिना वैध वीजा और पासपोर्ट के भारत में रहने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार कर न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। आरोपी को छत्तीसगढ़ के जशपुर जिले में गंभरिया गांव के पास पकड़ा गया, जब वह अपनी भारतीय महिला मित्र के साथ बाइक से घूम रहा था।

पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना पर मिली सफलता
जशपुर पुलिस अधीक्षक को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि एक विदेशी नागरिक एक स्थानीय महिला के साथ क्षेत्र में घूम रहा है। सूचना की पुष्टि के लिए अधिकारियों की टीम को रवाना किया गया, जिसने गंभरिया गांव के पास से उस विदेशी नागरिक को हिरासत में लिया।

पूछताछ में किया रिश्ते और व्यापार का खुलासा
पुलिस द्वारा पूछताछ में नाइजीरियाई युवक ने बताया कि वह पिछले कुछ समय से दिल्ली में कपड़े के कारोबार से जुड़ा हुआ है और वहीं उसकी जशपुर की एक युवती से जान-पहचान हुई। उसने स्वीकार किया कि वह शादी के इरादे से जशपुर आया था और फिलहाल अपनी महिला मित्र के खूंटी टोली गांव स्थित घर में ठहरा हुआ था।

दस्तावेज न होने पर मामला दर्ज
जब पुलिस ने उससे वीजा या पासपोर्ट जैसे वैध दस्तावेज दिखाने को कहा, तो वह कोई कागजात पेश नहीं कर सका। इस पर पुलिस ने विदेशी नागरिक अधिनियम 1946 की धारा 14 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर उसे जशपुर थाना लाया।

न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजा गया आरोपी
कानूनी प्रक्रिया के तहत उसे स्थानीय न्यायालय में पेश किया गया, जहां से उसे न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजने के आदेश दिए गए। फिलहाल आरोपी को जशपुर जिला कारा (जेल) में रखा गया है।

प्रशासन की तत्परता से टली सुरक्षा चूक
जशपुर पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई से न केवल कानून का उल्लंघन करने वाले व्यक्ति को पकड़ा गया, बल्कि यह सीमा क्षेत्र की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को लेकर प्रशासन की सतर्कता का भी प्रमाण है। अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट किया है कि किसी भी विदेशी नागरिक को बिना वैध कागजात के भारत में रहना कानूनन अपराध है और ऐसे मामलों में जीरो टॉलरेंस की नीति अपनाई जाएगी।

यह घटना विदेशियों के प्रवेश और वीजा नियमों के पालन की आवश्यकता को एक बार फिर उजागर करती है।
