विभावि में आयोजित हुआ भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा पर व्याख्यान

सूत्र, कथा और समीक्षा भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा का आधार: प्रो हीरामन तिवारी

जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय, नई दिल्ली के स्कूल ऑफ़ सोशल साइंसेज के एसोसिएट डीन, प्रोफेसर हीरामन तिवारी ने मंगलवार को विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय के स्वामी विवेकानंद सभागार में व्याख्यान दिया। ‘समाज विज्ञान मे शोध के अवसर’ विषय पर आयोजित दो दिवसीय व्याख्यान माला के पहले दिन प्रो तिवारी ने भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा विषय पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला।

उन्होंने मध्य युग में रचित कृष्ण कर्णामृतम की चर्चा करते हुए भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा में कथा के महत्व को बताया। बताया कि कैसे रामायण और महाभारत की कथाएं हर घर के बच्चों को सुनाने की परंपरा देश में आज भी प्रचलित है। उन्होंने बताया की सूत्र, कथा और समीक्षा भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा का आधार है। इसके बाद उन्होंने संस्कार के महत्व को रेखांकित किया।

प्रो तिवारी भारत में ज्ञान परंपरा को पूरब के दर्शन का महत्वपूर्ण भाग माना। बताया कि पश्चिम के विपरीत इसमें तर्क की बहुत अहमियत नहीं है। भारतीय दार्शनिक कृष्ण चंद्र भट्टाचार्य की चर्चा करते हुए बताया कि हम गुलाम तब बन जाते हैं जब हम बुराई देखना बंद कर देते हैं। स्वामी विवेकानंद की चर्चा करते हुए उन्होंने कहां राष्ट्र वह है जहां रहने वालों के हृदय एक ही आध्यात्मिक सुर में धड़कते हैं।

प्रो तिवारी ने आठवीं सदी के दार्शनिक एवं अद्वैत वेदांत के प्रतिपादक आदि शंकराचार्य को भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा की एक धुरि माना। यहां उन्होंने भागवत गीता, ब्रह्म सूत्र एवं उपनिषदों पर शंकर की समीक्षा की चर्चा की। बताया कि किसी भी भारतीय दार्शनिक ने कभी अपनी लेखनी के संबंध में अपने नाम या कॉपीराइट की परवाह नहीं की। उन्होंने सवाल किया कि क्या भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा मे मालिकाना दर्शाने का कोई स्थान है?

भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा में बुद्ध और महावीर की चर्चा करते हुए उन्होंने सार्वभौम करुणा तथा अहिंसा को भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा का स्तंभ बताया। यहां 1922 में लिखी हरमन हेईस की पुस्तक ‘सिद्धार्थ’ की चर्चा की। उन्होंने साधक की चर्चा करते हुए बताया कि जब वह ज्ञान की प्राप्ति कर लेता है तो उसका दिखावा नहीं करता। उसकी व्याख्या भी नहीं कर पाता है क्योंकि ऐसी कोई भाषा भी नहीं बनी है।

प्रो हीरामन तिवारी ने ऑक्सफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय के दर्शनशास्त्री ईसाईया बर्लिन की चर्चा करते हुए ‘हेजहॉग और फॉक्स’ की चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि मानवता युक्त सार्वभौमिकता ही ब्रह्म है जो अत्यंत सूक्ष्म है।

कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कर रहे विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर चंद्र भूषण शर्मा ने बताया कि वह भाग्यशाली होते हैं जो विद्वानों के चरणों में ज्ञान की प्राप्ति करते हैं और वह सौभाग्यशाली होते हैं जो वैसे लोगों से ज्ञान प्राप्त करते हैं जिन्होंने विद्वानों के चरण पर बैठकर ज्ञान की प्राप्ति की हो। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि प्रो हीरामन जी को सुनना हमारा सौभाग्य है। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रोफेसर हिरामन ने भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा में धर्म, संस्कार और कथा समेत अनेकों बिंदुओं कि आज चर्चा की। कल इनके व्याख्यान का दूसरा भाग पूर्वाह्न 11:15 को आयोजित होगी।

यूसेट के प्राध्यापक डॉ अरुण कुमार मिश्रा ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया तथा धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। इस अवसर पर डॉ चंदन कुमार, डॉ बंशीधर रुखैयार सहित विश्वविद्यालय के शिक्षक और शोधार्थी उपस्थित थे।
