संशोधित झरिया मास्टर प्लान का लक्ष्य खतरनाक परिस्थितियों में रहने वाले 200,000 से अधिक लोगों का होगा पुनर्वास 

नई दिल्ली : केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने बुधवार को झारखंड के झरिया कोयला क्षेत्रों में भूमिगत आग और धंसाव के कारण विस्थापित परिवारों के पुनर्वास के लिए 5,940 करोड़ रुपये के संशोधित मास्टर प्लान को भी मंजूरी दी। केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि इस योजना का उद्देश्य खतरनाक परिस्थितियों में रहने वाले 200,000 से अधिक लोगों को स्थानांतरित करना है, जिसमें आवास, बुनियादी ढांचे और आवश्यक नागरिक सुविधाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा।

श्री वैष्णव ने कहा कि कानूनी, तकनीकी और सामाजिक बाधाओं के कारण 2009 का मास्टर प्लान पूरी तरह से लागू नहीं किया जा सका। मंत्रिमंडल ने झरिया पुनर्वास एवं विकास प्राधिकरण के पुनर्गठन को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिसके तहत एक संयुक्त सचिव स्तर के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी की नियुक्ति की जाएगी तथा पुनर्वास प्रयासों में तेजी लाने के लिए कोयला सचिव और झारखंड के मुख्य सचिव की सह-अध्यक्षता में कार्यान्वयन एवं निगरानी समितियों का गठन किया जाएगा।

वैष्णव ने कहा कि संशोधित मास्टर प्लान में आजीविका सृजन, कौशल विकास और पुनर्वास स्थल पर पूर्ण बुनियादी ढांचे (सड़क, स्कूल, अस्पताल, उपयोगिताएँ) के प्रावधान को प्राथमिकता दी गई है।
