लोहरदगा-गुमला होकर कोरबा तक बिछेगी नई रेलवे लाइन, वर्षों पुराना सपना जल्द होगा साकार

लोहरदगा/गुमला, जून 2025 — झारखंड के लोहरदगा, गुमला और आसपास के आदिवासी बहुल इलाकों के लिए बहुप्रतीक्षित रेलवे परियोजना लोहरदगा-गुमला होते हुए कोरबा (छत्तीसगढ़) तक के रेल मार्ग का सपना अब साकार होने की ओर बढ़ रहा है। रेलवे सर्वेक्षण का कार्य अब अंतिम चरण में है और संबंधित डीपीआर (डिटेल्ड प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट) तैयार की जा रही है।

इस रेल लाइन की मांग कोई नई नहीं है। पूर्व रेल मंत्री ललित नारायण मिश्रा ने अपने कार्यकाल में इस मार्ग की घोषणा की थी, जिसे छोटानागपुर के प्रसिद्ध आदिवासी नेता कार्तिक उरांव ने सर्वेक्षण के स्तर तक पहुँचाया। लेकिन रेलवे विभाग ने इसे “अव्यवहारिक” बताकर खारिज कर दिया था।

वर्षों से ‘वादों’ में उलझी रही परियोजना

कांग्रेस की पूर्व अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने भी एक समय इस रेलवे लाइन के निर्माण का दावा किया था, लेकिन यह दावा भी अन्य राजनेताओं की तरह चुनावी वादों तक ही सीमित रह गया। सालों तक इस परियोजना को राजनीतिक दलों ने जन भावना से खेलने का साधन बनाया, जिससे आम आदिवासी जनता सिर्फ वादों और भाषणों के भरोसे रह गई।

अब ज़मीन पर उतरने को तैयार है सपना

अब जब छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार ने क्षेत्रीय रेल नेटवर्क के विस्तार की दिशा में कई परियोजनाओं को गति दी है, तब लोहरदगा-गुमला-कोरबा मार्ग भी एक बार फिर चर्चा में है। नीचे दी गई हैं कुछ प्रमुख रेल परियोजनाएं जिनकी डीपीआर प्रक्रिया चल रही है:

• अम्बिकापुर–बरवाडीह रेल लाइन (200 किमी) — लागत ₹9,718 करोड़
• खरसिया–नया रायपुर–परमलकसा (278 किमी) — लागत ₹7,854 करोड़
• रावघाट–जगदलपुर (140 किमी) — लागत ₹3,513 करोड़
• सरदेगा–भालछमाड़ा (37.24 किमी) — लागत ₹1,282 करोड़
• धरमजयगढ़–पत्थलगांव–लोहरदगा (301 किमी) — अनुमानित लागत ₹16,834 करोड़

लोहरदगा से कोरबा तक नई रेलवे लाइन इसी अंतिम योजना का हिस्सा है, जिसका सर्वे अंतिम दौर में बताया जा रहा है। यह परियोजना न केवल झारखंड और छत्तीसगढ़ को रेलवे से बेहतर ढंग से जोड़ेगी, बल्कि क्षेत्र के आदिवासी समाज को विकास और संपर्क की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ने का कार्य भी करेगी।

राजनीतिक लाभ का ज़रिया बनी रही योजना

हाल के दशकों में चाहे लोकसभा चुनाव हो या विधानसभा चुनाव, इस परियोजना का नाम हर बार वोट बटोरने के लिए दोहराया गया। नेताओं ने “वादों का क्या” जैसे जुमलों के सहारे आदिवासियों की भावनाओं के साथ खेला और परियोजना को साकार करने की दिशा में कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाया।

अब उम्मीद की किरण

अब जबकि केंद्र और राज्य दोनों स्तर पर रेलवे नेटवर्क को विस्तारित करने की प्रतिबद्धता दिखाई दे रही है, ऐसे में लोहरदगा-गुमला-कोरबा रेल मार्ग को लेकर एक बार फिर उम्मीदें जागी हैं। अगर यह योजना मूर्त रूप लेती है, तो यह क्षेत्रीय विकास, रोज़गार और सामाजिक समावेशन की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक कदम होगा।

इस बार उम्मीद है कि यह योजना सिर्फ कागज़ों में सिमट कर न रह जाए, बल्कि वर्षों से उपेक्षित इस सपने को हकीकत का रूप दिया जाए — ताकि रेल की सीटी इस बार सिर्फ वादों में नहीं, वास्तव में इन घाटियों में गूंजे।
