गुमला: निर्माण, शिल्प और वास्तुकला के आदि देव भगवान विश्वकर्मा की जयंती (पूजा) का पर्व 17 सितंबर, 2025 को गुमला जिले भर में, जिसमें मुख्यालय, प्रखंड, गांव और मोहल्ले शामिल थे, अत्यंत उत्साह और पूर्ण भक्तिभाव के माहौल में संपन्न हुआ। निर्माणकर्ता, कारीगरों, इंजीनियरों और उद्योगपतियों ने इस दिन अपने-अपने औजारों और मशीनों की पूजा-अर्चना की और उन्हें आकर्षक रूप से सजाया। पारंपरिक आस्था के अनुरूप, संबंधित लोगों ने अपने समस्त कार्य और मशीन संचालन बंद रखकर, देवताओं के वास्तुकार की मूर्ति और चित्र स्थापित कर, विधि-विधान से पूजा की और आरती उतारी।

यह पर्व विशेष रूप से श्रमिकों, शिल्पकारों और कारीगरों द्वारा मनाया जाता है, जो इस दिन को अपने कार्य और उपकरणों के प्रति सम्मान व्यक्त करने के लिए समर्पित करते हैं। इस अवसर पर, पौराणिक मान्यताओं की चर्चा की गई, जिनके अनुसार भगवान विश्वकर्मा को समस्त ब्रह्मांड का निर्माता और देवताओं के महलों का वास्तुकार माना जाता है। संस्कृत में ‘विश्वकर्मा’ नाम स्वयं दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है—‘विश्व’ (संसार या ब्रह्मांड) और ‘कर्म’ (निर्माता), जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ है “दुनिया का निर्माण करने वाला”।
गुमला के विभिन्न प्रतिष्ठानों में विद्युत सज्जा और आकर्षक सजावट के साथ जयंती मनाई गई। पौराणिक कथाओं में उल्लेख है कि चारों युगों में भगवान विश्वकर्मा ने कई भव्य नगरों और भवनों का निर्माण किया था। उन्हें शिल्पशास्त्र का आदि पुरुष माना जाता है, जिन्होंने विश्व के प्राचीनतम तकनीकी ग्रंथों की रचना की और इस ज्ञान के सर्वश्रेष्ठ ज्ञाता रहे। यह पर्व कारीगरों को अपने उपकरणों के महत्व को याद दिलाता है और उनसे जुड़े उद्योगों में सुरक्षा और समृद्धि की कामना करता है।
