बोकारो में हाथियों का कहर, 5 ग्रामीणों की मौत — गांवों में डर और आक्रोश

बोकारो जिले के ग्रामीण इलाकों में हाथियों के हमले से कोहराम मच गया है।
05–06 फरवरी की रात बड़कीपुब्रू करमाली टोला और महुआटांड़ (गांगपुर) गांव में हाथियों ने तांडव मचाते हुए 5 ग्रामीणों की जान ले ली। कई लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हैं, जिनका इलाज सदर अस्पताल रामगढ़ में चल रहा है।
घटना के बाद से पूरे इलाके में दहशत का माहौल है। गांवों में लोग रातभर जागकर पहरा दे रहे हैं। खेतों में जाना, शौच के लिए बाहर निकलना तक बंद हो गया है। ग्रामीणों की पीड़ा और आक्रोश ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि हाथी कई दिनों से गांव के आसपास घूम रहे थे, लेकिन समय रहते ठोस कदम नहीं उठाया गया। एक ग्रामीण ने कहा, “रात में हाथी घर के पास आ जाते हैं। बच्चे रोते हैं, महिलाएं डर से कांपती हैं। जान बचाने के लिए हम पूरी रात जागते हैं।”
वहीं मृतक के परिजन फूट-फूट कर रोते हुए बोले,
“हमारे घर का कमाने वाला चला गया। मुआवजा से जान तो वापस नहीं आएगी।” कई ग्रामीणों ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि
“हाथी हर साल आते हैं, हर साल मौत होती है, लेकिन स्थायी समाधान आज तक नहीं हुआ।”
प्रशासन हरकत में घटना की गंभीरता को देखते हुए उपायुक्त श्री अजय नाथ झा के निर्देश पर प्रशासन सक्रिय हुआ है—
पश्चिम बंगाल के बांकुड़ा से 16 सदस्यीय विशेषज्ञ टीम तैनात वंतारा टीम द्वारा हाथियों को बेहोश कर जंगल की ओर खदेड़ने की कार्रवाई
क्विक रिस्पॉन्स टीम (ORT) एवं ड्रोन से लगातार निगरानी मृतकों के परिजनों को तत्काल मुआवजा देने की प्रक्रिया शुरू
गांवों में टॉर्च व मशाल वितरण, रात्रि गश्त तेज संवेदनशील गांवों में सोलर लाइट योजना हाथी विचरण क्षेत्र में बिजली आपूर्ति पर कड़ी नजर
ग्रामीणों की मांग है कि जब तक हाथियों को पूरी तरह जंगल की ओर नहीं भेजा जाता, तब तक स्थायी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की जाए, ताकि किसी और परिवार को अपनों की जान न गंवानी पड़े।
