गुमला : – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत स्थित पालकोट थाना क्षेत्र के उमड़ा पंचायत के पंडरापानी गांव में एक वृद्ध महिला की कुल्हाड़ी (टांगी) से काटकर बेरहमी से निर्मम हत्या कर दी गई। घटना के पीछे ‘डायन-बिसाही’ का संदेह जताया जा रहा है। मृतका की पहचान बघिमा अम्बाटोली गांव निवासी मंगरी देवी के रूप में हुई है। जानकारी के अनुसार, मंगरी देवी पंडरापानी गांव में एक शादी समारोह में शामिल होने जा रही थीं। इसी क्रम में एक निर्जन खेल मैदान के समीप स्थित जंगल के समक्ष पहले से घात लगाकर बैठे हमलावरों ने उन पर एकाएक हमला कर दिया। महिला का क्षत-विक्षत शव मिलने से पूरे इलाके में सनसनी फैल गई, बाद में इसकी सूचना पालकोट थाना पुलिस को दी गई, पालकोट थाना पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए , अपने दल बल के साथ उक्त घटनास्थल पर पहुंचकर गहराई से छानबीन की और उपस्थित लोगों से पूछताछ करते हुए, उक्त वृद्ध महिला के शव को अपने कब्जे में लेते हुए ,उक्त शवको पोस्टमार्टम हेतु गुमला सदर अस्पताल स्थित पोस्टमार्टम हाउस में भिजवाया गया और पोस्टमार्टम के बाद उक्त शव को उसके परिजनों को सौप दिया गया, पालकोट थाना पुलिस द्वारा उक्त मामले की गहराई से छानबीन की जा रही है, और अज्ञात अपराधियों की खोज बिन शुरू कर दी गई है l
