गुमला : – गुमला उपायुक्त दिलेश्वर महत्तो ने कामडारा प्रखंड के भ्रमण के क्रम में गरई (सोनाटोली) गांव पहुंचे, जहां उन्होंने प्रगतिशील महिला किसान रेशमा केरकेट्टा एवं अमित केरकेटा द्वारा की जा रही ड्रैगन फ्रूट की खेती का निरीक्षण किया।
निरीक्षण के दौरान उपायुक्त ने खेत में लगाए गए ड्रैगन फ्रूट के पौधों का अवलोकन करते हुए खेती की पूरी प्रक्रिया, लागत एवं आय के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी ली। महिला किसान द्वारा बताया गया कि उन्होंने लगभग डेढ़ एकड़ भूमि में ड्रैगन फ्रूट की खेती की है, जिसमें कुल 5,15 पौधे लगाए गए हैं। इस खेती के लिए पौधे तेलंगाना से लाए गए थे और वर्तमान में इसे दो अलग-अलग प्लॉट में विकसित किया गया है।
उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि ड्रैगन फ्रूट का उत्पादन स्थानीय स्तर पर ही आसानी से बिक जाता है और उन्हें बाजार की कोई विशेष समस्या नहीं होती। उन्होंने जानकारी दी कि इस खेती से उन्हें प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 6 से 7 लाख रुपये तक की आय हो रही है, जिससे उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति में उल्लेखनीय सुधार हुआ है।
उपायुक्त ने महिला किसान की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह पहल क्षेत्र के अन्य किसानों, विशेषकर महिला स्वयं सहायता समूहों के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत है। उन्होंने संबंधित विभागों को निर्देश दिया कि इस प्रकार की उन्नत एवं आयवर्धक खेती को प्रोत्साहित करने हेतु अन्य किसानों को भी प्रशिक्षण एवं तकनीकी सहयोग उपलब्ध कराया जाए।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि जिले में परंपरागत खेती के साथ-साथ वैकल्पिक एवं उच्च मूल्य वाली फसलों को बढ़ावा देना आवश्यक है, जिससे किसानों की आय में वृद्धि हो सके। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की कि ड्रैगन फ्रूट जैसी खेती से जुड़े मॉडल को अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी विस्तार दिया जाएगा।
