सियासत के रंगमंच पर जबरन धकेले गए निशांत आखिर पिता की बैसाखी के सहारे कबतक टिक पाएंगे…?

 बिहार जैसे राज्य में निशांत कुमार के सामने खुद को साबित करने की बड़ी चुनौती है। क्योंकि विरासत दरवाजे जरूर खोलती है। मगर लंबे वक्त तक टिके रहने के लिए अपना कद खुद बनाना पड़ता है। सबसे बड़ा सवाल…क्या आज की निर्मम सियासत में एक सीधा, संकोची और सत्ता के दावपेंच से अंजान चेहरा राजनीति में लंबी दूरी तय कर पाएगा…?

बिहार की रुखड़ी-रपटीली राजनीति की राह पर एकबारगी एक ऐसा चेहरा आकर खड़ा हो गया है या यूं कहें कि धकेलकर खड़ा कर दिया गया है, जिसके पास न गरजती हुई आवाज है, न भीड़ को उकसाने वाले जुमले, न मंचीय अभिनय का कौशल, और न ही सत्ता के गलियारों में बरसों रगड़ खाकर पैदा होने वाली वह चमक, जिसे लोग ‘पॉलिटिकल पर्सनालिटी’ कहते हैं।

ढीला-ढाला कुर्ता-पाजामा। साधारण चप्पल। हल्की झिझक और बेहद सीधे-सपाट जवाब। लेकिन यही शख्स अब बिहार का स्वास्थ्य मंत्री है निशांत कुमार।

सियासत में अक्सर वही लोग लंबे समय तक टिकते हैं, जो वक्त के मुताबिक चेहरे बदलना जानते हों। कभी आक्रामक। कभी नरम। कभी वैचारिक। कभी समझौतावादी। कुछ-कुछ वैसे ही जैसे उनके पिता नीतीश कुमार। जिन्होंने दशकों तक हालात के मुताबिक अपनी राजनीति की धुरी बदलते हुए सत्ता और संतुलन दोनों साधे रखे।

हमारे यहां कहावत है –‘बापे पूत परापत घोड़ा, नहीं कुछ तो थोड़ा-थोड़ा।’ लेकिन निशांत कुमार को देखकर लगता है मानो पिता की सियासत वाले गुणसूत्र उनमें उतर ही नहीं पाए।

उनके भीतर एक अजीब-सी संकोच भरी साफगोई नजर आती है। कोई ओढ़ा हुआ किरदार नहीं। कोई बनावटी आक्रामकता नहीं।

‘राजनीतिक विपदा’ की उपज है निशांत…!

सच यही है कि आध्यात्मिक झुकाव वाले किसी एकांतप्रिय, संकोची इंसान को अचानक सत्ता के रंगमंच पर अभिनय के लिए खड़ा कर दिया गया है। न कोई रिहर्सल। न पर्दा उठने से पहले संवादों की तैयारी। और न ही टेक-रिटेक की कोई प्रैक्टिस।

लेकिन निशांत कुमार की एंट्री को अगर सिर्फ एक पिता का पुत्र-मोह समझ लिया जाए, तो शायद हम तस्वीर का सबसे अहम हिस्सा देखने से चूक जाएंगे। दरअसल, निशांत कुमार जेडीयू के वजूद पर अचानक आ पड़ी ‘राजनीतिक विपदा’ से निपटने के लिए हड़बड़ी में तैयार की गई एक ‘सर्वाइवल स्ट्रेटेजी’ के तहत मैदान में उतारे गए ऐसे योद्धा हैं, जिसके पास युद्ध तो छोड़िए, छोटी-मोटी लड़ाई का भी तजुर्बा नहीं है।

जेडीयू एक ऐसी पार्टी रही है, जिसकी पूरी संरचना, जिसका सामाजिक समीकरण, जिसका वोट बैंक और जिसकी राजनीतिक विश्वसनीयता, सब कुछ एक चेहरे – नीतीश कुमार- के इर्द-गिर्द सिमटा रहा।

नीतीश ने पार्टी को अपनी राजनीतिक इच्छाओं और महत्वाकांक्षाओं के मुताबिक गढ़ा, लेकिन शायद यह कभी गंभीरता से नहीं सोचा कि एक रोज ‘पोस्ट-नीतीश एरा’ भी आएगा और तब पार्टी का क्या होगा।

जेडीयू को सीमित भूमिका में धकेलना चाहती है भाजपा

बेचैनी दरअसल उन चेहरों के भीतर थी, जिनकी पूरी राजनीति नीतीश कुमार के चेहरे के भरोसे खड़ी थी। और जब यह आभास होने लगा कि भाजपा अब बिहार में जेडीयू को सीमित भूमिका में धकेलना चाहती है, तब नीतीश के इर्द-गिर्द मौजूद लोगों ने मजबूरी में ही सही, निशांत के चेहरे में एक सहारा तलाश लिया।

उन्हें लगता है कि नीतीश के नाम के सहारे निशांत कार्यकर्ताओं को भावनात्मक रूप से जोड़े रखने में कामयाब हो सकते हैं। वह उस राजनीतिक विरासत को आगे बढ़ा सकते हैं, जिसे तीन दशकों की सामाजिक इंजीनियरिंग, गठबंधन कौशल और संतुलित राजनीति से गढ़ा गया।

यानी जेडीयू के समान खड़े हुए ‘नेतृत्व शून्यता’ के संकट का सामना करने के लिए निशांत कुमार को एक ‘कंटिन्यूटी सिंबल’ की तरह आगे लाया गया है।

खुद सेहतमंद नहीं होने के बावजूूद उन्हें स्वास्थ्य विभाग क्यों सौंपा गया ?

बहरहाल, बिहार की राजनीति इस वक्त निशांत कुमार को सिर्फ देख नहीं रही बल्कि गौर से पढ़ने की कोशिश कर रही है। क्योंकि बिहार जैसे रूथलेस स्टेट में राजनीति सिर्फ सादगी से नहीं चलती। यह चलती है एग्रेसन, कमांड और परसेप्शन से। जनता नेता की भाषा सुनती है, लेकिन ब्यूरोक्रेसी उसकी देहभाषा पढ़ती है।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय कोई मामूली जिम्मेदारी नहीं है। यह वह महकमा है, जहां जनता रोज सरकार का चेहरा देखती है। अस्पतालों की बदहाली। डॉक्टरों की कमी। दवाइयों का संकट। हर शिकायत सीधे मंत्री की साख पर असर डालती है। बिहार का स्वास्थ्य महकमा खुद लंबे समय से रुग्णावस्था में है. फिर सवाल उठता है कि आखिर खुद सेहतमंद नहीं होने के बाबजूूद निशांत कुमार को स्वास्थ्य विभाग क्यों सौंपा गया? बेटे के साथ-साथ नीतीश की भी खिल्ली उड़ायी जा रही है. यह सब नीतीश आखिर कैसे बर्दाश्त कर रहे हैं? ये समझ से परे है.
