मजदूर मसीहा स्व. राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह की पुण्यतिथि पर कथारा में श्रद्धांजलि सभा सत्ता के शिखर पर पहुंचकर भी मजदूरों से नहीं टूटा नाता

गोमिया। झारखंड-बिहार के पूर्व मंत्री, इंटक के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव एवं दिग्गज मजदूर नेता राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह की छठी पुण्यतिथि कथारा स्थित क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय सह राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह स्मृति भवन में श्रद्धा और सम्मान के साथ मनाई गई। कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में यूनियन पदाधिकारी एवं कार्यकर्ता शामिल हुए।
कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता आरसीएमयू के क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्ष अजय कुमार सिंह ने की, जबकि संचालन क्षेत्रीय सहायक सचिव विजय यादव ने किया। इस अवसर पर क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्ष अजय कुमार सिंह, उपाध्यक्ष राजेश शर्मा, चंद्रशेखर प्रसाद, क्षेत्रीय सहायक सचिव आशीष चक्रवर्ती सहित अन्य पदाधिकारियों एवं कार्यकर्ताओं ने स्व. राजेंद्र बाबू की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की।
सभा को संबोधित करते हुए अजय कुमार सिंह ने कहा कि राजेंद्र बाबू ने अपना पूरा जीवन कोयला मजदूरों के अधिकारों की लड़ाई में समर्पित कर दिया। उन्होंने खदानों में कार्यरत श्रमिकों के हित में कई कल्याणकारी योजनाओं को धरातल पर उतारने में अहम भूमिका निभाई। उनके संघर्षों की बदौलत ही मजदूरों को सम्मान और अधिकार प्राप्त हो सके।
क्षेत्रीय उपाध्यक्ष राजेश शर्मा ने कहा कि संयुक्त बिहार एवं झारखंड में मंत्री तथा कांग्रेस विधायक दल के नेता रहे राजेंद्र सिंह ने इंटक एवं राकोमसं को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर नई पहचान दिलाई। संगठन को मजबूत बनाने में उनका योगदान अविस्मरणीय है।

मोहम्मद इसराफिल अंसारी ने कहा कि स्व. राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह ऐसे जननेता थे, जो सभी की बातें सुनते थे और सबको साथ लेकर चलते थे। मजदूर संगठन के प्रति उनकी प्रतिबद्धता अद्वितीय थी। सत्ता के शीर्ष पर पहुंचने के बावजूद उन्होंने खुद को कभी मजदूरों और मजदूर संगठन से अलग नहीं किया। यही कारण है कि आज भी मजदूर वर्ग उन्हें अपना मसीहा मानता है।
