मजदूर नेता अवधेश कुमार सिंह का निधन, पूरे कोयलांचल में शोक की लहर

चार दशकों तक मजदूरों की आवाज बने रहे अवधेश बाबू, बोकारो नदी घाट पर हुआ अंतिम संस्कार

गोमिया: कोयलांचल के वरिष्ठ मजदूर नेता एवं राष्ट्रीय कोलियरी मजदूर यूनियन के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष अवधेश कुमार सिंह का रांची में हृदय गति रुकने से निधन हो गया। वे लगभग 75 वर्ष के थे। बताया जाता है कि वे मजदूरों के कार्य से जुड़े एक सहयोगी के साथ रांची गए थे, जहां अचानक उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ गई और उनका निधन हो गया। उनके निधन की खबर मिलते ही कथारा, स्वांग, गोविंदपुर, ढोरी, बोकारो-करगली सहित पूरे कोयलांचल में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई।

करीब चार दशकों तक श्रमिक आंदोलन से जुड़े अवधेश कुमार सिंह ने अपना पूरा जीवन कोयला मजदूरों के अधिकारों की लड़ाई को समर्पित किया। उन्होंने सीसीएल के हजारों मजदूरों की समस्याओं को प्रबंधन के समक्ष मजबूती से उठाया और चिकित्सा सुविधा, सेवा-सुरक्षा तथा श्रमिक हितों से जुड़े अनेक मुद्दों पर लगातार संघर्ष किया। मजदूरों के बीच वे “अवधेश बाबू” के नाम से लोकप्रिय थे। उनकी सादगी, स्पष्टवादिता और जुझारू नेतृत्व शैली के कारण विरोधी यूनियनों के नेता भी उनका सम्मान करते थे।

राष्ट्रीय कोलियरी मजदूर यूनियन के नेताओं ने उनके निधन को श्रमिक आंदोलन की अपूरणीय क्षति बताया। रीजनल अध्यक्ष श्यामल सरकार ने कहा कि अवधेश सिंह का जाना मजदूर आंदोलन के लिए बड़ी क्षति है और उनकी कमी हमेशा महसूस की जाएगी। वहीं क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्ष अजय कुमार सिंह ने कहा कि अवधेश बाबू भले ही आज हमारे बीच नहीं हैं, लेकिन उनके संघर्ष, विचार और श्रमिक हितों के लिए किया गया कार्य आने वाली पीढ़ियों को प्रेरित करता रहेगा।

सीसीएल प्रबंधन के अधिकारियों ने भी उनके निधन पर गहरा दुख व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि अवधेश कुमार सिंह हमेशा सकारात्मक संवाद और आपसी सहमति से श्रम विवादों के समाधान के पक्षधर रहे। उन्होंने कई जटिल मामलों को बातचीत के माध्यम से सुलझाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
रांची से उनका पार्थिव शरीर उनके स्वांग स्थित आवास लाया गया, जहां अंतिम दर्शन के लिए बड़ी संख्या में लोग पहुंचे। इसके बाद बोकारो नदी घाट पर पूरे राजकीय एवं सामाजिक सम्मान के साथ उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। उनके छोटे पुत्र रवि शंकर सिंह ने मुखाग्नि दी।

वे अपने पीछे दो पुत्र, पुत्रवधुओं सहित भरा-पूरा परिवार छोड़ गए हैं।
अंतिम यात्रा में चतरा के सांसद कालीचरण सिंह, कांग्रेस के बोकारो जिला अध्यक्ष जवाहर महथा, श्यामल सरकार, अजय कुमार सिंह, विल्सन, अंजनी त्रिपाठी, सुबोध सिंह, वेदव्यास चौबे, छेदी नोनिया, प्रमोद सिंह, दिगम्बर महतो, राजेश शर्मा, आशीष चक्रवर्ती, पंकज पांडेय, जयनाथ तांती, सुधीर किशन, धनेश्वर यादव, विजय यादव, कमलकांत सिंह, कुटु सिंह, पूर्व मुखिया धनंजय सिंह, कृष्णा निषाद, विजय कुमार सिंह, देवाशीष आश, संतोष सिन्हा, संतन सिंह, राकेश कुमार, रमाकांत सिंह, पूर्व महाप्रबंधक संजय कुमार, प्रेम राय सहित सैकड़ों लोग उपस्थित रहे और उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
